Why would the B1G ever host their tournaments in NC? They have access to Chicago, NYC, and DC. 3 major cities that make Charlotte look small time.

Most of the Big 12 teams are in the midwest so they just stick with the major Texas cities and Kansas City for their tournaments.

the SEC might have some wiggle room but Charlotte will have a ton of steep completion to host the tournaments with, Atlanta, New Orleans, Houston, and the major florida cities always being in the mix.

Hero of the 1991 Peach Bowl against NC State. Came back from 17 points behind for a win.

ECU used the grid iron to solidify its position in the state as a relevant football program. The state legislature soon afterward passed a law requiring NC state and UNC to schedule ECU, and additionally granted ECU its own medical school.

ECU has won the past 2 matchups with NC State (even during a 3-9 season last year) and UNC (giving UNC their biggest loss in program history--70 points).

It's hard to hate on Kansas. I think they're one of the more likable P5 franchises.They have history, and have succeeded, but were never exactly expected to be a top tier program. Instead they've remained competitive in the B1G for years.

They have a /comfy/ place in the Big 10

ECU has a proven "free agent" QB transferring this fall for his final year of eligibility.

He's reuniting with Duke's former OC, now ECU's head coach. Hopefully last year's dismal performance is the end of the re-build.

After Sirk finishes, ECU has a 4 star commit that may begin play immediately in 2018.

ECU has struggled some in the past 2 seasons; it is past time for a return to success with all the old rivalries brought from the old C-USA to the AAC.

ECU has arguably the hardest schedule in the entire G5 this fall. I don't expect them to run the table, but there's a lot of opportunity on the slate if Coach Mo's rebuild is over.
