For me the limiting factor in braking has always been the amount of grip in my tires. Even modern carbon rims have pretty good braking performance in wet. I'll admit that the first few generations of carbon rims were absolute disasters when it cane to braking in wet.

hydraulic disc brakes have nicer braking feel and modulation, and they free the manufacturers to make rims without restrictions set by rim brake surfaces. But for everyday riding rim brakes are bit easier to maintain, and personally I dont even ride in rain or mountains anyway

That's not true at all. There are plenty of breweries that are small have no marketing budget to speak of.

I had an Arend Tripel in a bar once in Belgium and couldn't find one again (it was in Oude Markt, Leuven so loads of bars) and with time I got it into my head that it was the best beer ever so I kept asking for one but never managed to find a place that served it again.
