After the WC 2010 final against Spain. The Netherlands received alot of hate for their physical and ugly football. The KNVB went into overdrive and demanded that the Dutch clubs and NT played like Barcalona and must produce their tier of Tiki Taka.

The result of this is the the Dutch NT always builds up from the back and plays wide. Every other NT knows this and knows how to counter this.

You could clearly see this in the Bulgaria game. As soon as the Dutch started building up from the back. The forwards of Bulgaria put pressure on the defenders and covered off every other Dutch player. The only solution is to pass the ball to the goalkeeper, who can do nothing but kick it long. Then Dutch players are not willing to fight for the ball and they loose ball posession.

In short the problem originated from the ugly and violent WC 2010 final.
