I don't understand what makes it this way. Their attributes are good. Better actually, than the other current most successful managers in the save, Bilic, Lennon and Pereira.
Do managers have hidden attributes as well?
>>75050695
They do. They influence the way their teams play, the way they act in the media, their favourite formations, the way they handle transfers business, what kind of formation they prefer, as well as the basic Hidden Attributes every player has (and perhaps a few things I've forgot). Chairmen also have specific hiddens BTW.

>>75052286

Wipe those Team Instructions. You're playing with a Very Fluid shape, which means your players will have high creativity as well as collective work (not compatible with players with shit Bravery, Team Work and Work Rate). Look at how your team plays and then add TIs. If you're playing on Very Fluid, your players shouldn't/mustn't be retarded and selfish, so you shouldn't have to have so many TIs.If you end up with that many TIs after watching a few matches and tweaking, then your players are too stupid for Very Fluid.
Anyway, False 10 roles (RMD, SS, IF) go with supportive striker roles in general, so IFs tend not to feed your striker, who being an AF doesn't do that much to feed them either. Your AM(S) in this situation is useless. Check if your Strikers are able to play a pass, or if you have a CM with good enough attributes for a DLP/RPM role.

Sneak into the bottom qualification spot after spending 44 matches near the bottom and middle of the table. Win on extra time.

In a sense, I already chocked. I was 13, playing like shit. I choked away half my first squad too. The issue is that I'm going against a Jong team from an Eredivisie side, so they have better players, be it in their Jong team or in their U19s, nevermind the odd out-of-form 1st Team member. And there's only one promotion place. And If I fail here, I'll see half my team fuck off yet again during the summer window.
The flip side is that apparently, the free regens that have been added have better potential than "real" players. And they're much younger too.

Every single goal I concede is the exact same. Player gets ball on right wing. Through ball over the top. Striker goes between my strikers. Taps it in.
5 at the back? 2 at the back? 9 players defending? Playing Contain? Defensive? Attacking? DCB? CB? Literally nothing matters. I always concede this way, completely regardless of my tactics.
>>75070381
Pray to god he gets a serious injury and fails the medical at the other club.
>>75070583
If they all come through the right wing look at your rightback, maybe he's too slow, has bad positioning, etc.
FUUUUUUUUCK
>>75070597
I've replaced my LB 4 times over the course of the season. Higher positioning? Higher anticipation? Higher pace? Nothing matters. Same for my CBs.
>>75070619
it's your tactics
>>75070619
Yeah, dunno then. I feel like the type of goal you're talking about happens quite a lot, think it's just the way the match engine works this year, defenders just can't cope with through balls
>>75070583
my team's current favourite is
>wide player blows past fullback/wingback
>delivers a fucking awful cross from the sideline, level with the top of the box
>floats over everybody
>opposite wide player runs out and retrieves it
>plays a quick, low ball into the box
>defense are all way out of position from the cross (too deep), both strikers unmarked, one taps it in
I think a lot of it is just low-quality players having shitty attributes (I'm assuming you're not working with world-beaters either). I'm still winning games, because we score more stupid goals than we concede
>>75070636
FM has the worst memes, bar none.
>>75070619
Post tactics.
>>75070653
I've already ragequit. I have no doubt that there are holes in my tactics, but the thing is that it doesn't seem to matter what my tactics actually are, I'll always concede the game goals. Even if I just intentionally do the absolute opposite of what I'd just done, they concede the same goal again anyway.
>>75070619
Do you have slow defenders and a high defensive line?
>>75070795
Defenders are slow as fuck, but so are all the other defenders in this league. Doesn't matter how high or how deep I place my defensive line, even at their deepest, they still get caught with the through ball over the top. That's my problem. If the game was all "look, you're fucking up here" and then when I changed it, it went "Okay, you fixed that, but now there's this problem" I'd be okay with it. But it just keeps going "Nope, this is still your problem. Set your wingers and LB to defend this side of the pitch? doesn't matter, they aren't defending it. Set your CBs to sweep up through balls? Doesn't matter, they aren't even attempting that either."
>>75070832
Instead of coming up with even more obvious tactical advice, I would suggest that you put your trust in a formation for at least five or more matches and see if they improve after a while. Sometimes it sorts itself out with a bit of patience and trust.
>>75070905
this, especially if your players are new signings, and even more so if they don't all speak the same language yet
>>75070905
Yeah, I kinda lost faith after the 11th straight loss, unfortunately. It's okay to admit the match engine has faults. The game isn't your entire life. At least, I hope it isn't.
>>75070935
>The game isn't your entire life.
>>75070935
Well, I have only won 3 out of 14 as a promoted side with no money to buy Premier League level players that got promoted from League One with a lot of luck, and then from Championship with a lot of luck after fearing relegation most of the season. I still believe in survival as the team will eventually "gel" and my players will age and develop a bit over the course of the season. A young team will play better and better towards the second half, and end of the season, and the established teams' players will cross the threshold from experienced to being old and stale. So hopefully this counterpoint effect hits us before it's too late.
