They always seem to have trouble finishing. I remember a couple of seasons back they were just in with a shout at a playoff. Two bonus point wins needed, against one of the Irish provinces and Zebre. Kia ora /rug/, I'm female-to-male transgender and I would love to play rugby. I live in Scotland so there's enough rugby clubs around, that's not the problem.

However, I'm not on hormones yet. I pass well enough apparently, as most people gender me male but nonetheless, for the time-being it's mostly oestrogen that's coursing through my body.

So my question is, is it even realistic to join a men's team? I'm pretty big and strong 'for a girl' but still, in comparison to men, especially male rugby players, my muscle mass is laughable. I'm just scared I don't measure up in fitness terms, no matter how hard I train. Then of course the social side of it all is a bit daunting as well, there's always the fear of not being accepted.

So yeah, any advice? It'd be much appreciated

Bear in mind that in the Wales tour to NZ last year Liam Williams was probably the best player in the Welsh team from fullback, and with Farrell and Sexton there isn't a need for a specialist kicker.
Halfpenny isn't so much of a Gatland-style fullback in attack either, he's more of a link man. With a scratch side and the fact that centre will be one of the weaker positions, Gatland will want a fullback who can run hard up the middle and generate linebreaks, which basically means Williams, Hogg and Payne.
