It's all he knows how to do. His asshole father basically raised him to do nothing except play gold. Fuck there's video from a Bob Hope Special in the 1970s of a 3yo Tiger putting like some monkey Earl trained.

Golf earned him billions. Golf got him into Stanford, not that he really got a degree. Golf got him a Swedish trophy wife. Golf made him world famous. Without golf he'd just be another mulatto managing a Jiffy Lube somewhere.

When Tiger first joined the Tour, Gary Player predicted his swing would eventually fuck up his back. Everyone dismissed Player's observation off claiming he'd said because her was some jealous/racist, old, white guy.

Guess who will be hitting them off the tee at Augusta next week and who won't.

Literally why is there still tiger stories. He hasn't been relevant in almost a decade.

Never said he wasn't. I saw him win the US Open in '02 at Bethpage and it was jaw dropping. He led from the 1st round to the last and it didn't look as if he was even breaking a sweat.

As far I'm concerned, Tiger never has to play competitively again. His legacy is cemented. It's just sad watching him try to compete again when his body won't allow him to.

It's even sadder when you realize he wants to play - needs to play - because he's got nothing else. No real hobbies or outside interests. He's never done anything but play golf and now he can't.

Because the only golf threads on /spuh/ are Tiger threads. If he officially hangs it up millions will vanish from the tour overnight. They will be bringing him out like a marionette hanging from drones well into his 90's.
