What should have been a night of twists and turns at the bottom of the Betway Premier League in Cardiff has turned out to be non-existent as the playoff chasers were confirmed last week. So there's no Judgement Night thanks to the two jobbers pictured.
Alas, even tonight is too much for Belgium's Kim Huybrechts, who withdrew this morning to attend his terminally ill mother's bedside before she passes on, prematurely ending his winless campaign. As a result, Peter Wright has "won" 7-0, which is incredibly fortunate for the man who had Michael van Gerwen's horrendous doubling to thank on Sunday to finally beat him in a final at the 10th time of asking.
So the Sex Pest derby starts the night with Jelle Klaasen against Phil Taylor. Paedo Suarez has recorded only 1 win and following his abysmal performance last week against Adrian Lewis, he was booted out of the league. Blaming tendonitis for his typical drop-offs in matches, the Cobra will surely go down to the Stoke philanderer.
The Gameraiser derby is next up between Gando and Aidey. Both men proved their immaculate abilities to only play properly when they're bothered at the UK Open by losing to Paul fucking Hogan in successive rounds, and enter the evening both on 9 points, so this could be a deciding match for O2 qualification.
Raymond van Barneveld comes off the back of ending MVG's 44-match TV streak against the final player in that run in James Wade. It was Classic Barney last week as he punished van Gerwen's errors, while Wadey kept up with the Green Machine but slipped in the ninth leg to allow a break. Knowing these two, either could easily throw this match away early.
Luckily for the Autism Express, his match tonight should not be much trouble as he plays fellow retard Dave Chisnall. Chizzy is 2 adrift at the bottom of the table, having not won since week 5, and with terrible recent form not in his favour, he will surely gift MVG a victory.
Coverage starts from 7:00pm UK time on Sky Sports 1.
>Tonight's fixtures (7:00pm BST start, all matches best of 12 legs)

So with his withdrawal, Kim Huybrechts becomes the first player ever to compete in a Premier League Darts season and not win a match. But it's not as if he would have won tonight anyway because he has been terrible.
With Kim's first three darts of the PL being 1, 19 and 1, that summed up his eight matches. He only managed to pick up points on three occasions: against Barney in Week 2 - where he failed to capitalise in the last leg - against Taylor in Week 4 - where he missed three darts to beat Pheel on TV for the first time - and against fellow eliminated one Jelle Klaasen in Week 5, where he actually showed some fight and got a point from 6-4 down.
Much like in 2015, Kimbo repeatedly choked at important moments to lose narrowly: 4 missed darts to take a point off MVG probably his nadir in that regard.
After the stomping shenanigans of two weeks ago against Adrian Lewis, where he bottled it from 3-3 against one of the most inconsistent players there is, he gave up the next week against Gary Anderson, averaging just 92 to be eliminated. If his mother truly was on his mind in that match, then there's a reason for that performance; that said, Robert Thornton buried his mother the day before hitting a double in 9 darter at the World Grand Prix.
Please don't get invited back next year.
Thanks for the write-up, OP. Unfortunately I can't watch tonight as I'm not at home. But it doesn't look like the most exciting night.
Wright beat Gherkin? Fuck, I didn't even realise there was a tourney over the weekend.

And so goes Jelle Klaasen out of the Premier League, pocketing £30,000 along the way with a poor tournament average of about 92, his highest match average being just shy of 99.
The nonce's tendency to switch off in matches is now been replaced with a bout of tendonitis that he's had since before the Worlds. It makes you wonder why he even accepted the invite if it's been such a long-standing problem.
Still, at least he had a win, over Dave Chisnall in the only non-draw in Brighton, which is more than Huybrechts managed. On the subject of Kim, Jelle's only other point was against the Belgian as he struggled to do anything.
Stop jacking off to retards, Jelle. That way, you wouldn't fuck your wrist up.

Because of Raymond van Barneveld. If for example Belgium or Germany will get a multi times world champion it would become more populair as well. I would even say that without Barney there was a big chance players like MvG, Klaassen and Big Ben wouldnt be playing right now.

Darts became very popular in Germany over the last I'd say two years. Screen time increased a lot but yeah it's still niche. But the amount of people who are aware of Darts definitely is growing.
Chizzy will be the Robert Thornton '14/Stephen Bunting '15/Robert Thornton '16 of this year's play-off phase and be used as fodder.

And that D10 ends a fairly one-sided and truncated night that closes the regular league phase.
With Kim Huybrechts missing the night through family trauma (although rumours this was actually due to being haunted by a bearded 3-time World Champion are still unproven) and Peter Wright receiving a controversial 7-0 walkover as a result, this put the impetus on the chasing pack to do something. They all did.
First to achieve was Phil Taylor in the tightest fixture of the night as Jelle Klaasen once again started out strong but faded away; Paedo Suarez won 4 straight legs for a 4-1 lead but his tendonitis flared up again as Pheel won 4 straight of his own, and although it went to a 12th leg, Klaasen was nowhere near to claiming a draw.
Gary Anderson gave Adrian Lewis a taste of his own gameraising medicine in their crunch match with a stunning 107 average and 78% checkout rate. Lewis hit 81 to go 2-1 up but a single missed dart at tops for 3-1 ignited the Scot as 15 and 13 dart legs led into back-to-back ton plus finishes with a 143 and the max out to go 6-2 up and held out for a crushing victory over a much improved Snackpot from last week.
Raymond van Barneveld continued his winning streak with a fourth victory in succession over a protesting James Wade. The Machine, never one to be part of a clique, was clearly enraged by the decision to award Wright a 7-0 victory and didn't bother playing until the sixth leg. Barney wasn't at his best but a 95 average was more than enough to break Wade down.
Michael van Gerwen showed Wade how to protest in style as he returned to the top of the league in typically murderous fashion. Although there were no high outs - MVG's 44 the best - it was a 104 average that sent Dave Chisnall packing. A whitewash was on the cards at 5-0 but Chizzy claimed a pity leg but no more.
It's Dublin next week with the fixtures announced tomorrow; The Darts Show is also on again on ITV4 on Friday and Sunday. See you then.
