>>74942405

Brady has cucked new york and the league at large for nearly two decades.
>>
>>74942425

No one actually gives a fuck.

All Nike gets is advertisement from the swoosh.

Normal people dont look at a football jersey to decide what shoes they wanna buy.

But I do think Nike is that retarded.

>All Nike gets is advertisement from the swoosh.
and they get to say "OFFICIAL UNIFORM OF THE NFL"

I think Nike thinks that if the NFL takes away the Nike color rush jerseys and lets teams use their throwbacks instead, then it's like the NFL admitting that the Nike original uniforms are shit and the Reebok ones are better, and Nike doesn't want that because they think that makes Nike look bad.
>>
>>74942462

Can they not just rip them off and put the swoosh on them though?

Doesn't the teams or the NFL own the jerseys? Or does Reebok own them?

Because it comes down to

>Doesn't the teams or the NFL own the jerseys? Or does Reebok own them?
I don't know desu. do any teams have throwbacks whose designs are from the Reebok era? or are all the throwbacks from before Reebok had the rights to making the uniforms?
I think it comes down to more Nike just not wanting to put someone else's uniform designs on the field if at all possible. I don't think there's really any question that fans like throwbacks.

>>74942483
that's very nice of him if it's legit desu. I wonder if he's giving out a real number or if he's going to have some guy answer the phone for him or if the number goes to like the PR department.
>>
>>74942511

I actually think the only throwbacks are pre reebok.

That might be because of nike to some extent.

All the past companies are irrelevant as fuck now though.

But it looks like licensing has only been around since about 1990 for most teams, so i guess they're fine with anything alder than that.
>>
>>74942380

I think he's right though

Peyton Manning went off the cliff bad at age 38/39, Favre quit at 41 after being shit for the last 10 years of his career, Brady's now 39.

I think it is a stretch to think he'll play until 46, I wouldn't bet on over 42.
>>
>>74942672
Favre took the vikings to the NFC championship ffs
>>
>NFL likes money
>NFL has a rule that limits Jersey variations through helmet limitation

At that point they scrambled to get something done

2 whole years and they worked on it the final minutes

Reminds me of staying up to do my 100 word essays for school
>>
>>74942672
Peyton Manning had numerous neck surgeries that he had to take HGH and fly to Europe for illegal procedures for. And he was an old man at 28. Brady is pliable.
>>
>>74942890
Regardless of what happened to Manning, aging is inevitable. Brady will begin to show signs of wear as well. Thats simply the human condition.
>>
>>74942909
Of course, Brady may throw two passes at a mini-camp and realise his arm has died.

But "man will get old" really isn't a story that needs writing.
>>
>>74942928
when that man says "I won't get old"
yes it does
>>
>>74942928
Agreed, it goes without saying.

On another note.

>Browns Dee Haslam wants to change uniforms, "radical" helmet change

Its not radical. If it goes to white, its just a throwback to the teams from when they first started, all the way into the mid 50s.

>Dee Haslam noticed a problem with jerseys fitting too tight and making players uncomfortable

No shit. Its Nike performance gear. Watch, she will do something to violate the agreement with Nike and the NFL or have uniforms designed for "plus-size" athletes.

Who gives a fuck what a Finn thinks?

Brady is the exception to every rule that ever existed, that's what makes him the GOAT.

Favre and Manning were backwoods hillbillies whose diet was comprised of beer and chicken parm. They both thought they would just play forever doing the same things they had done since they were 16. Not to mention they both did monster amounts of PEDs and when they had to stop, fell off a cliff.

Brady treats his body like a temple and is very much aware of his own mortality. 75% of his game has always been mental anyway, which will only get sharper as he ages. There will be no "cliff" for Brady. There will probably be a slow decline over the course of five years during which time he'll win a couple more championships and break every passing record the NFL has.

We don't need D-Lineman as badly as we need an edge rusher or strong safety that's why.

I'm on the Derek Barnett train myself. He had a shit combine but he broke Reggie White's sack record in college which is amazing to me. I'm confused why so many mock drafts have him going as low as 20, honestly. That's more of a prolific accomplishment than most of the defensive players being slated above him have made. Hell, I've seen mocks where Jabrill Peppers is a top 10 pick and he can't do shit but return punts.
>>
>>74945434
barnett is undersized, not very athletic, and really only rated as highly as he is because of muh record. he's not reggie white, and he's certainly not myles garrett or solomon thomas.

i could see him going in the top 10, and i doubt he'll fall to 20, but top 5 would be a huge reach

It's not shit. It was heavily injured.

Starting RT was injured. Starting LG was injured and never played a snap. A revolving door at center. Their elite blocking TE was injured a good deal of the season. The only consistent players were Marpet at RG and Smith at LT. That level of inconsistency will hinder any line's communication and make blocking tougher.

Additionally, the only legitimate receiving threats were Evans and Brate. Their offense incorporates many long-developing routes and Winston had no outlet if the the pass rush got through.

They are not taking a fucking tackle in the first round.

Brady is more talented than Favre or Manning. He's in a better system, surrounded by better talent, and the one thing he's the best at that's ever played is pre snap reads.

McDaniels ability to get guys like Edelman and white open right at the line of scrimmage as soon as the ball is snapped is what makes Brady so effective. He can get 5 yards in under 2 seconds ANY time he wants. He has a great O line and running backs that consistently keep the pressure off of him. He has a defense that makes his conditions for success simpler and doesn't have to worry about playing late into games because JG can come in and play for him.

His conditioning and preparation is unlike anything the game has ever seen. Manning spent the last 10 years dealing with congenital health issues that were a result of bad hits and inbred hillbilly genetics.

Favre never gave a shit about his health, put absolutely no prep time into his seasons at all (I think he skipped the last four training camps because he was too sore/fatigued to even play after a career of taking shot, after shot, after shot).

Do I think Brady has 7 seasons left? No, but I wouldn't be surprised and he for damn sure will last longer than those two fucking clowns did.

Given who was still available, I'd take McCaffrey. Can start immediately as PR, RB, and at least compete with Hump for the slot position. Otherwise, I'd take Njoku.

They did extend Martin but he did nothing last season even when he was healthy, and now because of his drug problem and suspension, his guarantees for this season are forfeited. They can cut him and not pay a dime.

true. he would be cheap, has shown promise in the past, still relatively young, shown he can play pretty well in big games. but he needs to refine his mechanics (throwing motion is shit, even to the casual observer) and his ability to read a field

>>74946456

not really, Kaep's 49er success was mostly because of the defense. His meme runs were pretty helpful (see: packers game) but if you wanna give a QB credit for team success the QB better actually be carrying the team, or close to it. Friendly reminder Kaep had it at the goal line and couldn't throw a fucking TD For shit (the ravens said they realized he only would throw to his right cause he sucks and once they realized that shut him the fuck down)

Romo is a far better passer and QB when healthy, problem is he's like 37 and made of glass. If you are a team that just needs a QB to win (Broncos, Texans), than romo would be a good fit for a year, maybe 2. If you're a shit team like the Browns you're better suited to sign Kaep as a meme backup and try to improve his fundamentals, maybe he can be okay again someday.

Its fucking different situations though, Romo has had a better career but has little time left whereas Kaep has shown potential but needs a lot of refinement

it doesnt really happen that often anyway so its not like we are missing a key element

Romo isn't going to retire, Bill O'Brein has already said he wants Romo, and Bob McNair and Jerry Jones are just in a lock on how to proceed. Jerry wants something, McNair is holding out for the release or cut.

Jason La Canfora said it best
>Also, as a PSA: Don’t get caught up in any of the faux drama being floated about Romo vs. Prescott Jerry vs Romo or any such nonsense. It’s a business, and Romo knows as much, and this is an ownership decision. He has many, many friends for life in that Cowboys locker room and frankly he has been vacationing and out of town with his family for much of the month. If that makes him "distant" or whatever, so be it, I suppose.

Romo wants to go to Houston. Jerry wants Romo to go to Houston but for something. McNair wants Romo to come to Houston for free. O'Brien just wants Romo.

just heard the recent 30 minute interview with jeffrey lurie, the 1 hour dougiep one right now

key takeaways
he implied that eagles wont be trading back to fill need at a good spot, aka no trade back for mccaffrey which would be the most applicable situation
he implied that he leans towards bpa which makes me scared that we might actually somehow take another fucking defensive lineman/edge
he implied that 40 time doesn't matter which points to john ross, because certain players run faster or slower with the pads on, bigger guys with bigger leg muscles experience less of a drop off with pads on
he also said that the eagles hc oc and qb coach put carson wentz through the ringer before drafting him and they grilled him a shit ton, they all were astounded on his character, they said it reminds them of someone, didn't say who
only ones i could find that these coaches have in common are peyton manning and brett farve

In a crossroads here.

I think our defense will be just about the same, maybe a little bit worse if we don't get the people we want in the draft.
But our offense will improve as Dak has been training all off season and will know more of the playbook, get better throwing o Dez.

So it seems like the team won't really change or improve, just stay the same.

I'm hoping for Irving, Tapper, Collins, whoever we draft 1st and 2nd round, and Jaylon to have a breakout season.
>>

The players that left were mediocre players who were asking too much for what they were worth. There was already a rookie who showed more upside than Carr or Claiborne and Jeff Heath who is at least comparable to Wilcox. No, I don't think the Cowboys can land 5 pro bowl palyers in 1 draft. all they need to do is draft 3 players into the secondary that are better than mediocre and they would be a better defense. Thats what you guys can't seem to understand.

Please do so
>>
>>74949531
I told you guys yesterday the Eagles are 100% taking Christian McCaffrey
>>
>>74949154
He went undrafted because he said he'd hold out the whole season if he wasn't picked early.
>>
>>74949620
>100%
The eagles have literally hosted private workouts for most of this draft class
Whomever we take, we will have tons of research on
The eagles really can't miss on this one because there is so much possible corners and rbs to take
>>
>>74949631
So why didn't they pick early? He's a 1st round talent, you don't fuck him over because he talked to the police.
>>
>>74949550
neither the 49ers or the broncos have "a history of shit drafting", and the people drafting for the eagles and colts this year are different than in previous years.

i'm not sold on mccaffrey or anything, but this criticism doesn't even make any sense.
>>
>>74949642
So? All teams have private workouts every year.

At this point, the Eagles have pretty much embraced their role as a meme team, and whats more meme than a white running back.

McCaffrey to the Eagles, trust me.

mccaffrey would actually be a great sproles replacement down the line as well, considering his value in the passing game and on special teams.
>>74949729
they quite literally do not. 2015 was a bad year, but their draft classes from 2013 to 2010 built their championship contender, and they got their starting RB and chris borland in 2014. "history" implies they've been shit for a while, which isn't true at all.

teams are going to have a retarded amount of capspace when sherman gets to the end of his contract and the seahawks will not give boatloads of money to a 30 year old corner when the time comes

so if a team offered decent picks in this draft that is so fucking full of defensive talent I wouldn't see a problem with him being traded

Yeah the Seahawks basically specialize in developing defensive backs at this point. It's like the Cowboys with offensive linemen and and the Patriots with linebackers. You can trust those teams to make whatever choice at those positions and have it turn out all right.

alternate helmet rule needs to go regardless 2bh. it's well-meaning, but it's a pretty retarded rule that could be better implemented without taking away the freedom to wear throwbacks and the like. there are a lot of uniforms that are great but can't be worn because of "muh one helmet" rule.
>>74950558

>>74950626
>It's well meaning
players go through double digit helmets in a season anyway. Why the fuck would it matter if once or twice a year you had a different helmet
>>
>>74950635
that's the thing, they don't. the rule is that every player has to wear the same helmet throughout the season. the intent is obviously to avoid head injuries, but it's very poorly implemented.
>>
>>74950738
That's the rule, yes. But they do go through a LOT of helmets in a season.
>>
>>74950626
>make an alternate helmet that's the exact same physical design of the regular
What's the problem here?
>>
>>74950769
the point is to minimize helmet changes, not eliminate them. changing your helmet because it breaks or stops functioning is unavoidable, but they want to prevent teams changing helmets outside of necessity. not saying i agree with it or that it's better this way, but that's the logic behind it.
>>74950781
it's not that alternate helmets are less safe or anything, but that the NFL wants to limit the amount of helmets players go through, as they deemed frequent helmet changes to be dangerous to player safety.

Toxinsfag here, can confirm. Guy couldn't even wake up on time for practice. Dude even missed the team plane for the Miami game and blamed it on "traffic", of which there was little that Saturday morning.

Apparently, after he signed with the Ravens he said something about how "harsh" the Texans QB room was or whatever.

Mallett is arrogant, lazy, and while he has a strong arm, he almost always throws 100 mph. Dude can't throw a pass that requires touch to save his life.

Jacksonville has this weird thing where they can literally be more talented than the opposing team at all positions and still somehow lose by double digits. An offense with Robinson Hurns Lee and Fournette is a deadly combination but it all sits on Bortles and whether Bortles can pull his head out of his ass. An average game manager would sweep the AFC South with that offense. If Bortles throws multiple pick sixes again this year it's time to move on, and I'd have an average proven game managing QB behind him this year just in case

Are u dumb?
Dead money is from guaranteed money which gets paid according to the contract language
If the contract specifies that the guaranteed money was a signing bonus to be paid in 2017 and it was 10 million
The team HAS to pay him that 10 million in 2017 unless traded
And that 10 million counts against the cap
Think before you post

>well depends on what I do on the field. I'm gonna get the chance to show what I can do on the field and make the most of it.

please just disband the NCAA or make them an amateur league and pay these illiterate niggers.
the fact these apes are graduating 4 year universities and have trouble simple math and spelling correctly is bad enough.
but you gotta think that honestly, these nigs are getting not only "scholarships" but they are taking up finite space in universities all over the country.
it's not just the SEC (mo claiborne), it's respectable universities as well. and small schools trying to get their foot in the door.
at this point I'm sure it's only Dartmouth that has "student" athletes. northwest, stanford, and plenty of other places just need to quit the charade of teaching these chimps sign language. its insincere and unfair to both parties.
