this would concede about 10 goals a game
zidane and cryuff are ozil tier off the ball
I guarantee that you have never seen Yashin play and only put him there because everyone else does it.

Why would you have him in a team that's already covered in the goals department? Put someone more creative in there like Ronaldinho, or put Cruyff on the left and get a proper CM

For the hell of it.
>This is largely Merit-driven, which is fucking typical.
>If I had to guess, I would say the number of Goalkeepers today who outmatch Yashin in skills and athleticism are easily in double-digits. That's just how progress works.
>Cafu and Maldini are not problems. Though I would think there isn't a plan in place to account for Cafu pushing forward.
>Beckenbauer is the template for the libero/sweeper, while Moore is a traditional rock in central defense... but the same problems that Yashin has persist; namely, enough modern players can match them.
>Cruyff, for all his adaptability, is also a generation or two behind the athletic curve. There is a distinct lack of a ranger who can cover for the other midfielder.
>Five creative hubs in what I assume is an attack completely reliant on fluidity and individual brilliance. Sort of like Brazil in '70 and '82, before system killed art.
>Ronaldo and Messi would probably be on the pitch, but I'm not sure where. I mean, who will be the aggressive attacker on the right side, bolstered by Cafu reinforcing him from the back, and who will presumably play a little more withdrawn on the left side since Maldini is not as inclined to attack on his end?
>Pele, Maradona, Zidane... if you put any of them in a modern system against other modern systems, you'll find they need a more robust forward in front of them, to give them room to breathe. Maradona worked as a second striker in '86. Pele was a withdrawn forward in the 4-2-4. Zidane was almost a third forward, he was pushed up so far in '98. Could Ronaldo play more of a striker role for these guys? Can they actually rotate in an out and keep the opposition twisted in and out?

>beckenbaur AND baresi in a 2 cb partnership
Buffon
Thuram - Baresi - Terry - Maldini
Makelele - Redondo
Gerrard
Messi - Ronaldinho
Fat Ronaldo when he was not fat
