Started watching footy during 98 but I was only 8 years old, enjoyed it from what I remember but stopped watching when England got knocked out. Best one since then was 2002 for the class Brazil team. 06 was ok and the last 2 sucked.

2002 was the first WC I actively remember watching. I may or may not have seen games from 1998, but I definitely don't remember any. (very first international game I remember is Romania-Italy at Euro 2000, when Hagi got sent off)
Back on topic though, 2002 was pretty good and had GOATnaldo, though I was ABBrazil and ABFrance. 2006 had the GOAT ball and comedy gold final. 2010 had Germany steamrolling England and Argentina and that octopus. 2014 needs no presentation.

2014 was a runner up but only because of the group stages. knock out rounds were mostly shit and we heavily overachieved

I look down and see these two kids with a vuvuzela just walking around. I was in shock because I believe that was the first time I ever heard the thing in person.
