Our Under20 team is utter garbage and the current gen is getting old. The Under17 guys are kind of decent, but it will take a while for them to get good.
We will surely be skipping the 2022 World Cup, with some luck we'll be back by 2026.

Also, we probably won't be seeing a new winner until 2034, as I expect the next generation to be dominated by France, Germany and Argentina. By then, it might be between the Netherlands, Colombia and Belgium.

Depay and Strootman are the prime examples of players who have revived their careers. Depay is actually looking good at Lyon and Strootman has come back from a knee injury and is playing better than ever. Mix that with experienced players like LCIM, Sneijder, De Vrij, Van Dijk, Blind and Promes to a certain extent and there is a good base.

When it comes to youngsters there are a couple of player who would fit well in the starting 11. Those players being Klaassen in the midfield (not really a youngster but still plays in the eredivisie), Karsdorp (young and dynamic right back), Vilhena (Powerhouse in the midfield, 21 years old) and Willems although I think Danny Blind will play Daley Blind at left back.

The only problem at the moment is the striker position. Janssen and Luuk de Jong are simply not good enough and RVP is over. So it would be Bas Dost (most goals in europe this year) but he doesnt seem to fit the dutch system.
