They see the opportunity for the limelight and the money, so they prematurely enter the draft. Then they get in over their head or can't grasp the concepts of the pro style
Offense and fall into obscurity except to show up on "Top NFL QB Busts" lists. It's more of a recent phenomenon. Even going back 10 years ago, you still had a good number of QBs who stayed for at least 4 years. Now it's almost exclusively 3 and out, and the quality of QBs coming out has declined, directly affecting teams to the point of having such a large gap in QB talent in the NFL. So been thinking about this for a bit and I can see it playing out in two ways.

1. Either Brady has told BB and Kraft that he's done after this season and it's not gone public cause he doesn't want every game to be a "going away" party.

or

2. BB shows Brady the door after this season, due to Brady being old and having a young QB in Jimmy G.

I mean if Montana can get showed the door any QB can get showed the door. BB doesn't have any loyalty to Brady, just refer back to when Deflategate first broke for evidence. BB likes to take things one game at a time sure. But with Brady being entering his 40s he'll be in that area of "one hit away" from retirement. I really honestly think that BB isn't necessarily stacking the team for Brady per se, but he's actually stacking it for JimmyG next season. So it's going to be interesting on how things shape out.
