he had 109 yards and a td in a game against you last year.

he also had the big ot catch against the pats when we beat you guys in 2015.

>>74702387
Richardson will get dealt at the right price if not he'll walk and we'll get a compensatory.

Pryor will get his fifth year option activated.

He's been a disappointment but he's still starter worthy on a rookie deal.Maybe he puts it together maybe he doesn't either way hes still young so keep him at least the next years and then just move on when his contract expires. But he shouldn't keep us from drafting a really good safety if one's there in the draft.

>>
>>74702735
Hard to say. Locker room issues are definitely a red flag but those issues were generally involving Marshall and Richardson, two players who have a history of team hurting attitudes.

2016 he got dealt a shit hand. Half the team was either injured or aging and they had a pretty tough schedule. What I like is his attitude. He stands with the team and he doesn't talk shit. He's calm and seems to understand the players. If he can tighten his grip on the team and Magic Mike can beef up the roster then I think he will be successful.

I think one thing that is really hurting him is that no one wants to play for the Jets. Since Bowles has no guarantees I'm sure many coaches were afraid to take jobs with the Jets. Also after seeing the roster purge many players probably soured on the Jets too(besides the fact that there is no cap space). Right now things are looking pretty tough for the Jets but one or two positive seasons will set it all right.
>>
WHY HASN'T HOWIE PULLED JEWMAGIC TO GET KYLE FULLER YET
>>
>>74702848
gotta draft well or he's out of the door in a couple of seasons. luckily your picks are pretty high. the free agency thing is another reason i think the jets should consider drafting fournette; been a while since they had anyone with that kind of star power.
>>74702870
we don't have anything the bears would want other than picks
>>
>>74702848

The jests were done when they started acting like they were too good for fitz...

It all went bad from there..
>>
>>74702848
This

Had Fitzpatrick not blown the last game of 2015 he wouldn't be given so much doubt about last season.

If hackenberg has a decent season the jets finish 8-8
>>
>>74702904
your team did the same thing cunt

and if anything the season proved they were right not to give Fitz a bgi deal.
>>
>>74702914

That stupid stringing along shit killed it.

Then decker and marshall were all like "fuck no dont put in Geno".

Houston dropped fitz and just sucked the same as usual, which i guess the jets should have done.
>>
>>74702891
Fournette is a beast but he would be playing with a banged up o-line and isn't that great at receiving. I'd prefer a versatile back but you know what I don't know dick about how to build an offense so Fournette might be a great pick.

>>74702904
>>74702911
>>74702914
What Krabs said. If you think that Fitzpatrick under performed because the Jet's wouldn't pay up you're retarded. 2015 they had an easy schedule and the defense was playing halfway decent. In 2016 they had a much harder schedule and Fitz couldn't deliver. Maccagnan has been very smart about all the contracts
>>
>>74702932
Decker played like 3 games and then was out for the season. He was Fitz's guy and then he died and Fitz couldn't adapt.
>>
>>74702932
Dude he wanted to be paid out the ass when he's a mid 30's journeyman quarterback with no record of consistent success.

This should not be coming from the guys who gave Brock Osweiler a huge deal and had to give a 2nd rounder away just to get rid of their sunk cost.
>>
>>74702939
jets need an offensive identity badly, and fournette would provide that. look at it the other way, too; with the threat of fournette in the backfield, teams wouldn't be able to key in on enunwa and decker.

if the jets can pick up a TE from this loaded class their offense could surprise you. idk who y'all even intend to start at QB (hackenberg??), but that would be a nice cushion for them
>>
>>74702939

I dont think it made fitz bad, I think it tore up the lockerroom

>>74702953

This was a big issue they sent 2-0 then the KC game happened.

>>74702961

I never agreed with the teams decisions, in fact I disagree with almost all of their decisions.

The way it went down was bad for the team, I have no idea who would want their teams wideouts lobbying for the QB they like to be payed and the team be faggots but then eventually cave. That shit was bad.
>>
>>74702939
>If you think that Fitzpatrick under performed because the Jet's wouldn't pay up you're retarded

>>74702978

>>
>>74702984
The team's locker room fell apart because they were losing games.

The team actually played well in their first two games but fell apart in the Kansas City game. It had nothing to do with the summer hold out which he caved because he wanted a multi year deal with a larger salary. The offer they gave him was the offer they had on the table for months.
>>
>>74702998

>>
>>74703715
As a skins fan, I've had to learn way more about the tag than I ever wanted to. You can keep tagging however many times you want, but since they have to make some % more than the previous year, it's fiscally irresponsible. For a franchise tag it would be around 34 mil next year and for the transition it wold be around 28 mil next year
>>
Do gays like football?
I know this should be an obvious answer, but I really don't know.
>>
>>74703732
Why did the redskins sign him to such a lucrative contract? Seems pretty pointless.
>>
>>74703732

19, last year, 24 this year, and 28 (transition instead of franchise) would pretty much be a 3 year $71m deal fully guaranteed contract back in 2015. It would piss him off though and he'd definitely walk after that. Or he tests the market on the transition tag and we just accept to pay whatever the highest bidder is.
>>
>>74703750
the franchise tag is a special contract where the money value is determined by the value of the top 5 players at that position, in this case QB.
if a team uses the franchise tag on a player 2 seasons in a row the 2nd season has to be a % higher than the first
then the 3rd season has to be higher than the 2nd and so on

Is it by how much they made and not the max they could earn?

like if its a 23 mil contract with 15 guaranteed and they earn 20 does that put the number at 20 rather than 23?

It depends on the tag. It's a certain % higher. For a franchise tag, I think it's 120% of the previous year's earnings or the average of the top 5 at their position. Which ever is higher.

Warford is a decent starter. Lang is one of the best guards in the league.

>>

>>74707159
My point is they replaced a guard for a guard and a guard does not an o line make. Even if Lang is a much better run blocker he's not picking up everybody's assignments for them and you can't run every running play behind him. A b+ offseason grade is a Homer grade all the way. Loins fans can expect overall line play similar to last year.

Delhomme was painfully bad at cleveland. Played 5 games on the whole season.
Flynn didn't play at all.
Osweiler is so bad they had to give up a 2nd to get rid of him. He won a SB the same way Matt Flynn, Tarvaris Jackson and David Carr won theirs.
Both Derek Anderson and Kevin Kolb lpst their job to John Fucking Skelton.
O'Donnel and Mitchell played pretty damn bad.
Jeff Garcia was the best of this list, yet the Browns payed too much for him.

Well who wasn't. Favre had a shit year in New York is he trash now? Jeff Garcia same deal. being a Cleveland steamer fan has jaded you. You can't just go out and get any QB at the end of their career and think it's gonna work. Look at the broncos; look at the pats. Their old QBs are productive because of line and skill position play. Why the fuck would losing our DC hurt? Do you know anything about the Falcons? Dan Quinn started calling the plays for the defense after the bye week last year. Our DC last year was just a lame duck.

Losing Kyle Shanahan may hurt from a playcalling perspective since that retard was good at drawing up some nice plays but Ryan owns that system now so KS going away isn't going to hurt continuity.

His passer rating of 121.5 on the deep ball ranks third in the league, while he ranks second on those longer-developing dropbacks, a part of his game that used to be a weakness.
That's before week 16, so it excludes his two top notch games vs Jets and Dolphins.

Stop posting this garbage, his top 2 receivers were Welker and Edelman for years. In 2013 his deepballs looked bad because he threw to dropkins and dropson, since 2014 his deepballs been top 3 and he was 2nd in attempts at deepballs in 2015 behind Palmer, in 2016 he was the 2nd most accurate QB beyond 20 yards in 12 games.

He needed a receiver that wasn't slow as shit or a manlet.

Me neither. Brandon Carr was a signing they needed because at least he stayed on the field. You don't build a team through free agency. Claiborne only needed to come back if he was going to take a deal that was also in the Cowboys best interest. If the Jets pay him more than 5 mil that is too much money for a player that has injury history and played far from a first round pick. Maybe they strike gold and Claiborne plays healthy and to his potential like the brief time in 2016.

Cowboys have been doing a good job about patching up the spots that players are leaving open.

Brady over the shoulder.webm

Brady has always had the arm strength. His deep accuracy is his worst attribute relative to everything else but it's still pretty good.

The thing people don't understand about Brady and why he worked so well with Moss is that Brady will ALWAYS go on the side of caution and overthrow a deep ball instead of under throwing it. It's much harder to intercept a pass that goes too far than it is to undercut a throw. That's why people think Brady has dog shit deep accuracy, because they see these balls go way over his 5'8 receivers heads and think that it was unintentional. Chances are the defender jammed the receiver well and Brady wasn't willing to risk throwing it short and having it get picked off.

I was saying before the offseason that the Cowboys Secondary is average at best and plays well due to a combination of marinelli, and offensive time management. I also said they'd have to play completely out of their mind in order for the Cowboys to be a Top 10 defense line 2016, they did that.

Carr is about the only CB i wanted retained. By himself he isn't good, but he stays healthy and he knows the schemes and can shut down people when he is playing his best. But Nelson Carroll I would say is at least comparable to him, and the Cowboys got him on a pretty cheap 3 year deal, and with Marinelli he may be a lot better.

Wilcox and Church though, one of them needed to be signed. Cowboys till have patching up to do but they've been one of the best teams in FA last couple of years.

wins are not a qb stat
now if somebody were to post kirk cousins statistics against top 16 defenses or teams with winning records thatd be a slightly different story
but it still wouldnt tell the whole story because until this year kirk had a complete garbage tier offensive line and for the last 2 years has had literal shit for a running game giving other teams advantages in keying on passing plays specifically because kirk becomes pretty much the only weapon on offense

but id also say that brees has the worst FO of the three and easily the worst defense of the three as well
if the FO in new orleans knew anything they would just pour money into the defense and offensive line and drew brees because he can make basically any bargain bin wr or rb look pretty good

garcon only ever had 2 1000 yd seasons
