When I say retired, I mean that he was done being Floyd the fighter. Realistically, there was nothing more he could achieve after Pac (except maybe a title at MW but I think that's out of the question now) to solidify his ATG status and every other fight beyond that would just be aiming for 50 and would ultimately be irrelevant to the division.
