Stats don't exist in a vacuum, man. A sack to take an opposing offense out of field goal range in the final minute of the game up 3 points is a lot more valuable(and leads to more wins) than a sack at the end of the first half on a toss-up Hail Mary play, just as an example. If Miller got more of the former and less of the latter the Broncos likely would've won more games and he'd be MVP.

Bridgewater has been injured since August and unlikely to ever play again at all, much less for the Vikings, yet every time I see you post you're being a shrill little twink about him existing even when nobody is bringing him up.

I think you need help, man.

Surgery isn't sorcery magic, bro. They can repair it but it'll never be what it once was, it's just a matter of how much is lost as a result. He can still recover and even have a productive NFL career if he's lucky but it's never a sure thing even in the best case scenario. That's why so many scouts and GMs come off pessimistic about serious injuries of players coming out of college: for every Keenan Allen that comes along there's three or four Marcus Lattimores, the guys who are just never the same after.

Browns are looking to trade Brock Osweiler for a third-round pick.
The Browns are willing to throw in a fifth-rounder and are open to paying half of Osweiler's salary. Per Cabot, if the Browns can't find a taker, they'll release Osweiler and eat the $16 million remaining on his contract.

jesus christ if youre gonna pay for him why not just keep him on the roster? I mean fuck its not like they have any backup QB's that he's gonna push out of the roster. just keep him around at least to see what's there.

are they doing this just to hurt him? do the browns just want him to bully him publicly until he kills himself? trading for a guys massive contract just to fucking release him out of pure derision and spite. nothing like this has ever happened in sports before that I can remember. brutal.

McCarthy had no choice but to put every game on Rodger's shoulders.

He's always had a hard on for enforcing the Packers will by running the ball but it rarely worked, especially with Lacy around.

His situational play calling will be as bad as its always been. I'll be curious to see how early they draft a RB.

There are other, not-horribly-injured prospects that will be there in the third round that could pan out just as well if not better than the one that was injured. I wouldn't want my team touching a guy who tore his Achilles two months prior in the first three rounds, maybe not even at all, I don't care how good he might have been before.

Jones is a top talent and is worth a first round pick
After injury, because he will have to sit out for the year his value goes down because he can't be an instant contribution and he will bear a re injury risk
Teams take a chance on this all the time that the player won't get re injured so they can acquire the talent
Happened last year with Myles Jack and jaylon Smith,
It happenes every year

Myles Jack was a top five talent and had to show he could still run drills at his pro day before any team would feel comfortable drafting him. Same with Jaylon Smith. And they both still fell to the second round.

Jones will be a day 3 pick at best I guarantee it, he won't even be walking come draft time. That's gonna make GMs really nervous.

>>74626806
Why is your team? I bet they have already done this
And you must not understand the concept of guaranteed first round prospect
Later rounds are up for grabs based on scouts but consensus first round talents are guaranteed to be able to start and do well in the NFL

You're partially right. ACL injuries are worse in terms of rehab and recovery time but you're much more likely to make a full recovery from them, modern sports medicine being what it is now. Achilles injuries have a shorter recovery time but lower likelihood of regaining 100% mobility. Denver is leaking it to send a message to the Cowboys they only want him as a FA and not off a trade.

It's also putting pressure off the Texans to trade for him. Dallas is going to play chicken because they know both teams want him and think they won't be able to resist the temptation as Denver knows if Romo gets released he's going to the Texans.

So it's basically a stare down, first team to blink loses Romo.

That's not what restructuring is. It's moving money from a base salary into a signing bonus as a way to create cap room now at the expense of future caps, effectively borrowing cap space from future salary caps, no different than a cash advance on a credit card. Teams like the Saints find themselves in constant cap hell because they abuse the shit out of restructures(along with unwise free agency splashes).

You can't just change whatever language you want on a contract.

Meh. I'm ok with it I guess. Nothing huge but Griffin's an ok TE. Sounds like they got him for a good price.

it's cheap considering how the TE market has gone

and I doubt it stops them from upgrading the position in the draft

I don't understand signing Glennon over Kaepernick at all

Kaep has had high levels of NFL success and a 4-1 TD-Int ratio last year. Pair him with the 2nd leading rusher in Jordan Howard and see what you have not give Mike Glennon $15 Mil per

He made good progress last season. I'd be salty as fuck if he went somewhere else and ended up being elite.

I mean if Reid could convince the Cardinals that Kevin Kolb was worth a second round pick, and get a 60% completion rate out of Michael Vick, he can make Kaepernick look like a somewhat serviceable quarterback.

is Tampa low key building a powerhouse? like all I know on D is McCoy and Kwon but they have a good draft this year and they could be playoff contenders and maybe even a NFC dark horse. like this humphries guy? where did he come from but he's actually pretty good. lets see them draft a TE and the rest on D.

I was expecting Jameis to get figured out and fall off due to being a shockingly dumb nigger but he's hanging in there and actually making progress.
also it kinda bums me out the cardinals window has closed. I really wanted to see them make it.

>With the Brandin Cooks trade rumors swirling over the past week, the New Orleans Saints fielded an offer from the Philadelphia Eagles that would have included safety Malcolm Jenkins, according to Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio. According to Pro Football Talk, the Eagles offered Jenkins, a third-round pick and a fourth-round pick for Cooks, and New Orleans countered by asking for Jenkins and a second-round pick.
