He'll be a first rounder just based on his physical size. Some team will fall in love with a 6'4" half-breed negro buck. Watson will probably fall even though he's the most complete QB out of the bunch.

>Very accurate short game
Goff
>Shot gun spread hs and college

>First time attempting whole field reads

Other QBs like Goff include
>Colt McCoy
>Colin kaepernigger
>Cam Newton
>Marcus memeiota
>Philip Rivers
Obviously there's varying degrees of success on that list
>Cam/kaep/memeiota are all at their best when the offense is away from under center of the three memeiota is probably the best under center but he worked really hard and developed really quickly with his footwork.
>Colt McCoy/kaepernigger never really figured out the proper rhythms
>Philip rivers is probably the best former shotgun spread QB I can think of in the NFL today.
Goff may well be a bust but he's going to have to develop a certain set of skills he's never developed before or hope that his new coaches go out of their way to tailer their system to him being in the shotgun like they did for cam in Carolina but seeing as Goff is not a big bodied athletic black QB and Todd gurley is a North/south runner I don't see this scenario playing out.

Anyone can draft first rounders and have them succeed. If you can't then you should be fired.

It's the later rounds where you show your skill at drafting. Admittedly, I don't know who the Cowboys have taken with those picks off the top of my head but citing their O-line when it's primary composed of first rounders doesn't mean they're exceptional drafters, just that they were able to do their jobs.

Their 3rd rounder Maliek Collins was 2nd in sacks for the team and started every game.

Also Brown was a 6th rounder playing one of the most difficult positions in the NFL to adjust to right out of college, and he played it well.

That would be an insanely successful pick even if Brown was merely decent depth in his first year.

>>74604889
Well, I think we're looking at two different standards here, I didn't say everyone should be able to turn their first round picks into stars, just starters.

Getting a star in the first round is ideal but getting a starter is in the first round is a basic level of competency one should expect from their front office.

>>
>>74605000
But college ball and pro ball are so different now that no matter how much college ball they play there will still be pro concepts that are no longer being taught in college ball.

The NFL just needs to cut the NCAA out of the process and start a league to start paying players out of high school and have coaches in that league prepare them for the pros.
>>
>>74605020
the running back situation really depends where fournette goes. if he falls to the panthers, then cook and mccaffrey will be available later into the draft, but if the jets or someone earlier fall in love with him, then everything shifts up. i don't really see the eagles or colts having RB as their biggest need at either of our picks, but if cook slays his pro day they could be tempted. regardless, mccaffrey should be there, but BPA might be defense or OJ Howard

That's what college ball already is and I'm not proposing an additional D league on top of that, further delaying when players enter the NFL, I'm proposing an alternative to college ball that would pay players and teach them how to play the pro style football.

The quality of college ball can suffer, nobody cares about that.
>>
>>74605112
Hey faggot
How have you been?
>>
>>74605105
Only if you mean QBs. WRs, RBs, CBs, safeties, linebackers etc are taught the same technique they play in the pros.

A developmental league wouldn't be bad but only for players who already got drafted so they wouldn't shit up a roster spot before they develop. Like they do in hockey and baseball.
>>
>>74605073
I'm with you Cowboys have always been great evaluators. They still don't have as complete a roster now as they did 06-09 but they've done a good job building that defence back up the last three years. Irving could be a double digit sack artist if the end of last year was anything to go by

They've kinda started cutting out a lot of p5 conference guys unless they are saban guys and there's been a recent trend of finding guys at lower levels to play in proper offenses. Still obviously a p5 world out there, but still it's something. Trends come and go in football tho. The NCAA could make a couple simple rule changes like trimming down roster sizes etc. That would make the hurry up spread more difficult to run.

He's not some franchise quarterback and the 49ers don't have a lot of talent to work with. Carlos Hyde is always injured and they have no alternative for running back, the tight ends are mediocre at best and they don't have a true number 1 receiver. The O-line is okay but not anything to write home about. This is about a 4 win offense. So Shanahan's scheme should be good for 2 additional wins if he really is the coach you want to rebuild around.

So 6 wins for the 49ers seems about right for a successful season.

"unless injury was involved"

also timmy was the best pitcher in baseball for like 3-4 years, into the postseason too. his retarded delivery just blew his arm up after a while. still threw a couple of no-nos against the padres when he was past his prime.
>>74605783
polian has been so retarded lately
>>

No one gave it a shot for more than 3 seasons

So far the browns front office has changed free agency in two season of this experiment
>>
So what happened? A few days ago Romo's gonna be released, today he's expected to be traded.
>>

>SEC
The south is known for cheating the NCAA system regularly. This doesn't defend the NCAA. Alabama (you do go there and not state right) is also known for carrying kids on their roster strictly as GPA boosters and "study helpers" get fukd kid.

kek
he gets "respect" from these guys because he buys then drinks, name drops them on tv, and repeats shit they told him to sound smart

buy a clue, junior
>>
>>74605807
Live on stream, iirc the game was blacked out in the area. My dad was furious (Chargers fan) and I also was furious before that happened.
>>
>>74605829
Texans have the cap space and want to guarantee they get Romo so they will trade. If he's released there's a chance he could choose to go somewhere like Denver
>>
>>74605812
I think he kinda does it for the bantz cuz controversy sells. Or he's Alzheimer's who knows. It's a mixed bag with him.
>>
>>74605856
Good stuff. One of my best memories as a Ravens fan along with that final drive against Pitt in 2011
>>
>>74605846
>south is known for cheating the NCAA system regularly

SEC SEC SEC SEC SEC SEC

Don't stick up for them. Look up the list of violations by region. There is a degree of cheating everywhere but to imply it's not worse there is dumb.
>>
Is this the weakest FA ever?

Literally nothing good happened either other than browns and red skins drama

Na It's a pretty good class just the best players have either resigned (Dre Kirkpatrick, Brandon Williams etc) or gone to shithole teams (Calais Campbell to Jags, Andrew Whitworth to Rams, Zeitler to Browns etc)

Pretty disappointing tbqh

It's over. If the Raiders had gone back to the City of Angels all would have fallen into place. Now it's done.

he's averaged nearly 5 sacks a year as a non-starter on carolina's line, he's only 25, and he had a monster game in the super bowl iirc.

this is literally an incredible trade for the pats and i'm not sure why the panthers would even make it this early before the draft.
>>
>>74605984
>3 sacks, FF, FR + Interception in the Superbowl

Yea na Beli is going to turn him into a high level starter across from Flowers and I'm going to lose my shit
