The Browns have basically infinite cap space right now, they can easily afford to take Brock and they get a second round pick out of it. It's a great trade.

He's guaranteed $16m. He can be cut, the browns don't have to sacrifice a roster spot, and get a second round pick. And they don't have to pay the penalty for being below the salary floor under the recent CBA.

So instead of paying a penalty to the NFLPA, they get a second round draft pick. Essentially, a free 2nd rounder.

Don't know if this thread is ironic or if /sp/ really is full of retards, but this is a very creative move that benefits both teams. Texans off the hook on Brock, and Browns are essentially getting a 2nd round pick for cap space after they cut/trade him. Even Brock might benefit in the long run from this from a change of scenery.
