On a micro level, I had a work cell phone and it was on Verizon. I would test my T-Mobile phone against it and it constantly outperformed.

On a macro level, yes Verizon is more expensive because they put in a lot more resources to getting sites built. Where I live in the PNW, they have the current tech already installed and are installing what they call "fill sites" currently (just to meet the data demand) while the other carriers are still working to get the latest technology level installed on towers. The sheer amount of sites that Verizon has is so much more than the rest.

When dealing with people Verizon also has more people to get things done. This is obvious in the management and seeing how efficient they are. The other three seem to be constantly scrambling to get sites built, while Verizon is in the lead and has a lot more sites than the others. To keep this sports related, they're the current dynasty and everyone is trying to keep up.
