The most sickening 'defeat' for Man Utd in recent times was actually a win. 3-2 versus Bayern at Old Trafford in the CL quarter finals in 2010. Bayern progressed on away goals. It was so hard to take because (a) Man Utd went 3-0 up in the first 40 minutes only to blow it, (b) the CL was there for the taking for Man Utd that season, (c) the entire season fell apart during that period with a horrible injury to Rooney that changed him forever as a player, and (d) this cunt's, pic related, cheeky cunt face when he scored the decisive goal.

Also game 2 of the 93 stanley cup. Kings had a 2 goal lead with a few minutes left and got called for a penalty. Montreal, a french canadian team, asked the refs for help and were rewarded with a 5 on 3. They proceeded to tie the game up amd won in overtime. Kings would have been up 2-0 on the series but the momentum completely shifted and the kings lost 4-1. The solace i get from this is that no team from canada has ever won the cup since then, almost as if montreal jinxed them or disrepected lord stanley or something.

As a Giants fan, I'd say my personal low point for them, at least in my lifetime, was the 1989 World Series loss. We just had an Earthquake too... my 7 year old heart was broken.

Our recent World Series wins, however, have slowly been making up for our losses. I feel that 2010 and 2012 made up for the 2002 loss, but the 2014 win made up for the 1989 loss. Seeing them give the Royals hell and the joy I got from hearing Sandoval's last catch on the radio made it all better.
