The DS is fine. Letting every division winner go to the postseason is fine. The WC is fine. Letting two teams, usually ones that played well in competitive divisions, battle it out for the final postseason berth is fine.
What's not fine is letting teams with losing records get into the postseason, just off the vague notion that expanding the playoffs is good. 1) It takes away the competitiveness from the postseason; letting a team with 100+ wins play teams with wins in the 70's and low 80's takes away the pressure and competitiveness of two division winners going at it. Not to mention, it would be boring to watch. 2) It adds absolutely unnecessary length to an already long, grueling season. 3) It would make regular season baseball more boring, because there's less at stake if over half the league is going to the playoffs anyways. 4) Less incentive to try and play well in the regular season, if you're more than likely going to make the postseason anyways.
