Even if American football was played internationally, I still don't think America would care that much. In terms of talent we are so far ahead of everyone else and our athletes are wayyyy better than Euros regardless of whether they got the proper training or not. Euros aren't built for American football. We'd destiny everyone internationally. Our country still sucks at soccer though, we are pretty far behind in that regard

I dont know about all sports, but in boxing many of them are definitely unpatriotic. Though I think it's more racism speaking. Ask a lot of white Americans who they'd pick in a fight between a white Russian vs a slick black brotha and I'm sure most would pick the former.
