good formations:

3-5-2 right? High/High wingers wont be far enough up the pitch to be real goal threat, two defensive midfielders that stay back. Essentially you take what is a strong attacking formation, and turn it into a very defensive formation, in which you only have 3 goal threats.

4-3-2-1 has; 3 strikers all close to goal - high threat. 2 of your 3 midfielders will go up the pitch aswell (in my case i use a high/high and a med/med).

I guess it depends on playstyle, I have no issue in abusing how the game works to my advantage. I'll admit I rarely keep a clean sheet, but I average 3 goals per game.

Oh, and exploting your wide areas doesn't necessarily mean crossing the ball, it simply offers an easy back to your final third from where the opponent can cut in etc. I only faced two 3atb formations in WL and both were easy wins, so perhaps I'm biased.

By all means, continue using that formation then. I guess you could try the false 9 instruction in a regular 2 striker formation, its one of the few ones that actually seems to do something.

however, most instructions just skew the balance of the team imo.

they're not really supposed to be, they're mainly there as protection so i can charge about with Diarra and Mavuba trying to anticipate his passing/movement.

and like i said i'm terrible at defending people running through the pitch. with 2 CB's as soon as one has to go marching out leaving a big gap. with the 3 at the back, i don't have to switch onto a defender, just let the CB's sit deep and narrow. the on coming attacker is slowed down because he can't really go anywhere and i have diarra or mavuba marching up to dispossess him from behind. this is my team here >>74346464

BPM maybe works over the long run, but it's certainly not quick. You basically just list all the players for 200 bin and then keep just keep re-listing them every hour if they don't sell. It had been better if you had done it a couple days earlier because mk dons players were selling for a ton. At least there's a bronze in the totw, so that gives you a good card you may pull.
