Tuttle is former u20 and schoolboys, he captained the under 20 wobs at the World champs. McIntyre was the reds starting fly half for 13 of their games last season. Perese missed half the season last year and then played so well in NRC he got taken on the spring tour as a development player.

Well, it's all much of a muchness really. The only difference between playing at 8 as opposed to 7 is that on defence the 7 wants to be making the first tackle of hitting the first breakdown and the 8 wants to trace along the back and hit anyone that breaks the line or make second ruck with 6. Outside of first phase their role is determined more by which channel they are prodded in and what defensive pattern the team plays. You generally want a bigger guy at 8 because he can protect the halfback better at the scrum. Where they play is less important than what makeup you have for your backrow. If you have three fetchers or small 8 you will lack lineout options but will be better around the park and more fluid in attack. If you have 3 6.5s you'll be middle of the road at everything. If you have three big 8s you'll get run off the park by more mobile teams.
