It's ok for the Kings, may work for Pelikans. Kings get something plus lottery pick for a player that would otherwise bolt at free agents for nothing. Pelikans get some much needed hype for obscure franchise.

Pelikans are the one that are under pressure though. They need to keep him in free agents, or else they're a laughing stock again. But to keep him they'll need to spend a lot of their salary cap. So a huge part of it will go toward the two big men, leaving little for backcourt.
