glad Brucie made it, though
Sauber has a new color scheme since Banco do Brasil is no longer a sponsor. They showed up in Barcelona with this painted on their trucks, so the new car is probably some combination of white, navy blue, and gold.
Toro Rosso is likely going to be the color of the no sugar red bull cans, McLaren are black/orange, and Renault were rumoured in 2016 to switch to a light blue color scheme. Seems like blue is the new gray.
>>74286729
I kind of hate kangaroos for this exact reason. One ran out in front of me once and I slammed on the breaks really fucking hard, and you know what the fucking kangaroo did? It just fucking stood there and looked at me, had to blast the horn at it and start rolling forwards for it to piss off. Not to mention Kangaroos are violent and always try to pick fights with just about everything.

Striped toothpaste was invented by a New Yorker named Leonard Lawrence Marraffino in 1955. The patent was subsequently sold to Unilever, who marketed the novelty under the 'Stripe' brand-name in the early 1960s. This was followed by the introduction of the 'Signal' brand in Europe in 1965. Although 'Stripe' was initially very successful, it never again achieved the 8% market share that it cornered during its second year.
Marraffino's design, which remains in use for single-color stripes, is simple. The main material, usually white, sits at the crimp end of the toothpaste tube and makes up most of its bulk. A thin pipe, through which that carrier material will flow, descends from the nozzle to it. The stripe-material (this was red in 'Stripe') fills the gap between the carrier material and the top of the tube. The two materials are not in separate compartments, however they are sufficiently viscous that they will not mix. When pressure is applied to the toothpaste tube, the main material squeezes down the thin pipe to the nozzle. Simultaneously, the pressure applied to the main material causes pressure to be forwarded to the stripe material, which thereby issues out through small holes (in the side of the pipe) onto the main carrier material as it is passing those holes.
In 1990 Colgate-Palmolive was granted a patent for two differently colored stripes. In this scheme, the inner pipe has a cone-shaped plastic guard around it, and about halfway up its length. Between the guard and the nozzle-end of the tube is a space for the material for one color, which issues out of holes in the pipe. On the other side of the guard is space for second stripe-material, which has its own set of holes.
Striped toothpaste should not be confused with layered toothpaste. Layered toothpaste requires a multi-chamber design, in which two or three layers extrude out of the nozzle. This scheme is more complicated than either the Marraffino design or the Colgate design.

What is Ayrton Senna's best overtake?
What is Michael Schumacher's best overtake?
I honestly cannot recall a single memorable overtake from either of these drivers. I know I'm certainly wrong but I cannot think of any "legendary" overtake moments from these two drivers. Give me examples of these please.
>>74289379
Both often qualified in front and were rarely in positions where they needed to overtake others, same with Hamilton.
>>74289379
Senna (and perhaps Schumacher) probably did better overtakes in their earlier careers when they were driving worse cars. Both of them in their championship years were driving the best cars. Earlier they were driving slower cars and had to overtake.
>>74289425
Yeah, this is what I am thinking as well.
Of course Schumacher has that one overtake on Alesi which is honestly just sloppy and ragged looking IMO.
Hamilton on the other hand has several great overtakes though all throughout his career. Even Rosberg went out with style with that uncharacteristically awesome switch back overtake on Verstappen in Abu Dhabi.
Alonso's 130R overtake on Schumi has got to be one of the best if not the best overtake ever. "Sadly" his performance in that race was somewhat overshadowed by Kimi's amazing drive and last lap overtake on Fisichella
Of course the era was different in Senna's day, but did he ever really even race Prost wheel to wheel aside from the Suzuka incidents and Donington wet weather madness? Senna had so many more poles than wins, he was basically le quali dude, which Prost partially attributes to the fact that Senna set his car up for quali alone whereas Prost thought more about the race. Whether that's true or not I don't know. Even googling Ayrton Senna overtakes doesn't yield that much.

We took the subway to Jean-Drapeau and then walked across a bridge (Passerelle Du Cosmos) to Ile Notre Dame. There's pretty much no other way to get there unless you want to try and take a taxi in. Montreal subway is pretty nice though although we managed to avoid the worst of it.
On Friday and Sunday we parked in Longueuil and took and there was almost nobody on the subway at all, even right after the race.
On Saturday we rode in from our hotel in Montmorency and the trip from Jean-Drapeau to Berri-Uqam was pretty packed, even though we stayed for the support races and F1 qualifying had ended hours ago. From what I saw on Sunday, the subway into Berri-Uqam will be absolutely jammed after the race.
There were a ton of food vendors on both the inside and outside of the hairpin, right behind the grandstands, with a few other stands scattered throughout the track.
Team merch was all in one section at the center of the rectangular island on the track map. Not far to walk at all, but when we went between sessions on Saturday the place was packed. There were only one or two other merchandise stands in the entire track from what I remember.
Even though the hairpin is part of the plebian masses, as denoted by the security wall that Bernie assembled at Turn 6 and the casino, I don't think it's really missing any of the amenities of the other side of the course. Unless you absolutely need to see the pitlane, T1, or sit in the F1 paddock club, then the hairpin is perfectly fine, especially since it's a lot shorter walk to the subway which means you can get out of there quicker after the race.
Even though the 2015 F1 race was pretty procedural, the hairpin was absolutely fantastic for the support races. That year they had Ferrari Challenge, Formula Fords, and the Nissan Micra Cup and all of them had tons of passing and action in the hairpin. IIRC one of the Micras got clipped, did a full barrel roll and landed back on its wheels.

>I have no idea what Lauda brings to the table.
ummm, maybe because you don't work at Mercedes AMG ummmm maybe it's because you're an average cunt who sits at home and watches it on tv like the rest of us hmmmm. Commenting on drivers is one thing, speculating what happens behind closed doors at the championship winning team is a whole new level of autism.

Came in all the way from the end of the line at Montmorency. Still, it was probably only an hour each way.
>>74305363
Looks like shit, desu
The shark fin is gonna stand out like a sore thumb when it isn't in front of a all black background.
>only plebs will claim this doesn't look much better
>>74306552
Would not surprise me if the logo is used to fill that oval shape in the sidepod, with the white section dedicated to something else.
>>74306655
This
Some of the curves are awkward, like on the nose
Weird livery From the side pods back

>>74306655
The shark fin is stunning.

>>74306689
it'll feature some sponsor, but probably not for the entire season, perhaps only the first half or something, so the contract only starts in Melbourne. That's the only reason I can think of.
>>74306670

>power semis
>>74306774

>>74306768
>>74306689
I presume a sponsor is gonna go there and make it look reasonably shit, rather then unreasonably shit.
Utimately >>74306670 this is much better tho
But clearly Sauber only employed a design team in 94, and everything else was left to sponsors/BMW.
>>74306812
Come on, even with that strange spot this year's livery is 10 times better than anything they had since BMW left
>>74306798
those are big tires
>>74306612
The font matches too.
