Control means that your player play with an attacking mentality (generally). You want to be on defensive against teams like Chelsea that will expose you, and on counter against teams that you have a fighting chance against.

Also, you have a quite offensive formation. It can work with the right overall mentality, instructions and roles, but it would certainly be easier to play a 4-1-2-3 wide or 4-4-1-1 or something like that.

You're hitting on leagues where there's a requirement in national or at the very least HG players, so young promising players will cost you a shit load of money. Also, clubs like Dinamo just live by selling promising young player (as well as corruption), so they are even more expensive. I wouldn't shop in Argentina more often than not for that reason as well as very good Brazilians: they're cheap when they're pretty much unknown, but as soon as their rep rises their price increases dramatically. English players also are pretty expensive too, but I think you're more aware of that.

Usually in April I consistently field all the players who are about to be suspended as the cup final is the last match of the season.
