Carmelo is not a bad player, he isn't a blackhole or ball stopper. The Denver Nuggets and 2013 Knicks proved he can be a leader or at least second in command. He's one the most skilled offensive players of all time or at least in the post 90s era. He just needs the right team around him and veteran leadership like billups with the nuggets or Kidd on the 13 Knicks. He's like Alex English, Bernard King, dantley, and Wilkins. They were all great scorers but they weren't all around guys like lebron or bird. Carmelo isn't a lebron or bird, he needs the right system and coach. I'm afraid it's too late for him though
