The only QBs I think I'd be fine with the Texans taking in the first round (if they somehow fell) would be Trubisky or Watson. Even then I'm not really keen on the QB class anyway.

The reason I'd be fine with it is because Osweiler was such a steaming pile of dicks this past season that I just want a young QB that might actually have promise instead of another unknown backup QB (or journeyman). If the young guy doesn't pan out, at least they took a chance and they can let him go/trade him/cut him before they have to work a new contract.

Of course, I'm guessing none of the QBs in the draft class, besides maybe Trubisky, would be a good fit in O'Brien's system, so the Texans probably wouldn't take any of them in the first round anyway (despite the horrid QB play that's been getting worse and worse for the past few years).

My guess will be that the Texans take an O-lineman, a safety, or a linebacker (that's in order of decreasing likelihood) depending on who's available at #25.

On the FA/trade market, I'm fairly certain (in my gut) that Cousins will stay in DC. Jimmy G played in, what, two games last season before getting hurt? So he's still a relatively unknown quantity. The only other possibility that seems enticing is Romo, but of course that probably won't happen for a variety of reasons (Texans salary cap, Osweiler contract, Romo's age and injury history, Texans thin and struggling O-line, etc).

The Texans options are limited and I want to beat GM Rick Smith with a giant purple dildo because I hate him/don't trust him to draft worth a damn.

That IS the problem isn't it? BOB needs to cut the pre-snap shit and focus on getting creative with his scheming, playcalling, etc to adapt to whatever QB he has. But I think from a physical talent standpoint, there HAS to be a QB in the draft that's more accurate and can at least make better decisions with the football than Osweiler (who routinely forces the ball into tight coverage or throws way off target too often, especially downfield).

Overall, this just sucks dicks. I don't like that the Texans keep fucking themselves in the ass when it comes to the draft by finishing better than they should in the standings. That combined with Rick Smith's shitty offensive drafting cripples the Texans on that side of the ball.

Goodell had majority of the owners breathing down his neck about a proper punishment for Tom Brady and the Patriots.
