true but you're being a little unfair on them considering it's just the second week of a competition brought in out of the blue. it's still an amateur league, true attendance right now is fickle and experimental but you need to give it time for the league to develop and the players to get better, then they'll get a true following. nobody's expecting that to happen overnight. that they have high crowds without any substance is a good news even if that's partly the novelty/ meme factor (which will wear off soon)

That last sydney v wellington match had 8,000 people and this one has 7,600, sure it's free attendance but I just looked it up and it seems the cheapie tickets for a-league are around $7, in a few years I think aflw fans would be willing to pay that
