MLB's considering a rule change that would start extra innings with a runner on second base. Dumb idea, or dumbest idea?

this is worse than cfb overtime rules.
for starters ... who is credited with the runner on second? What if a no-no goes to extras?
too stupid to even fathom
you have to try and think up stupider ideas

Scoring it is the least of their problems. How about "it's a descent into stupid tee-ball rules?"
I'm actually good with doing away with the 4-pitch intentional walk, though.
Maybe make an intentional walk worth 2 bases. Cut back on the chickenshit of pitching around the best hitters
relief pitcher must face at least two batters.

FUCK. THAT. SHIT.

What happens if you intentionally walk 2 guys in a row?
just put in a target that has to be hit to win the game.
No no no no no. Why not bring back tie games while they are at it.
Fixing the strike zone, imposing the already existing pitch clock, and limiting mound visits will speed up the game without changing it out of all recognition.
The runner on second rule works in softball where games between top teams often go deep into extra innings at 0-0 because it's such a pitcher-dominated game, but baseball wouldn't benefit half as much.
I don't get the hate for this idea. This will undoubtedly make extra innings games more fun. Yes, it's pretty radical change, but extra innings games occur around 10% of the time. So it's not like every game is going to be using this rule.

CFB overtime rules are the best thing about CFB.
What a stupid fucking idea. Why not just require pitchers throw underhand for extra innings? Only corked bats and Vaseline balls?
Fuck it, why not just end extra innings all together and end games on a tie like fucking divegrass.
The only way a run can be scored is a triple and steal home. Everything else is an out.

>“It’s not fun to watch when you go through your whole pitching staff and wind up bringing a utility infielder in to pitch.
How the fuck is that not fun
This would dethrone the Designated Hitter for worst rule/gimmick in sports.
Awful idea

Pro: shave off maybe a minute every fourth game or so
Con: take away the build-up to a very tense situation in the game

>this is worse than cfb overtime rules.
>implying cfb overtime rules are bad

What the fuck?
