I've lived in Florida and North Carolina and I've really never seen a real true bandwagon fans. The thing is they're way too hated to be liked casually. Not even the Yankees were this hated across the country in their dynasty period. I went to a game in Charlotte and did see a few Patriots fans with Southern accents but it was rare.

The thing is there are tons of transplants across the country from New England that are vocal supporters and in the south like Carolina, Atlanta, etc where the professional teams have lukewarm support they pretty much are visually and vocally more apparent than local support and that pisses off the true fans of them big time.

Fast forward, brady gets suspended 4 games. Gloom and fuckin doom on the radio call ins. Everyone is "oh we're so fucked, garopollo sucks dick and we are going to finish way out of the playoffs". Patriots start season 1 -1. "Oh boo hoo, we're so fucked, the pats are going to finish with a shit record and miss the playoffs". Pats end up winning the superbowl.
