Basic rules explained ITT
Kickoff on 35-yard line
The other team receives the ball and starts running unless there is a Touchback
Drive starts on 25-yard line after Touchback
>>74057570
Why do they call it a touchback if nobody's back gets touched?
>>74057570
a touchback is when the kicker overshoots the endzone during a kickoff, or the returner takes a knee with possession in the endzone.
The offensive team has to move the ball forward 10 yards
The offensive team has 4 attempts to accomplish this (4 DOWNS)
When the offensive team crosses the goal line or catches the ball past the goal line (you can throw the ball to a teammate) they get a TOUCHDOWN worth 6 points
They can try to do this or try to get a field goal (3 points) on every offensive attack
The team that scores more points wins
hey man where do you watch it? got any good stream links?
>>74058264
It's on SAT1. But an Acestream with original commercials would be nice.
>>74057594
the back of the endzone gets touched
>>74058264
Literally YouTube has shitloads
>>74057570
why dont the players pass the egg around til someone come close to the goal to kick it in?
>>74058164
>The offensive team has to move the ball forward 10 yards
>The offensive team has 4 attempts to accomplish this
Oh so that's what a down is, bit embarrassed about not knowing this considering how much NFL I've watched this season
>>74058646
because then you only get 3 points and not 6 and then +1 if they get the point after kick
>>74057570
>Drive starts on 25-yard line after Touchback
WHAT THE FUKC DOES THIS MEAAAAN
>>74058739
the first play of the drive (offensive attack) starts in the 25 yard line after the kickoff goes further than the endzone or the kick returner kneels with the ball in the endzone
>>74057594
That happens later in the locker room after the game where you put your cock in the guy's asshole as you force his back down with your hand
>>74058690
Yep, also when you here something like "3rd and 2" what they are saying is that it is the 3rd attempt and they have 2 more yards to go.
It is also possible to have more then 10 yards, because the 10 yard marker is placed at the 1st of the 4 downs so if you get tackled more then 10 yards away from that marker, you then have to make up those yards.
>>74058646
Literally what?
>>74058164
i dont get that play
why blue team doesnt run if they are so close to the end zone?
>>74057570
>>74059358
In many scenarios the offensive team would try to run it in, but this can be blocked by a good defense so the offense will try to catch the defense off guard by throwing a pass instead
>>74059358
We have been asking that exact question for quite awhile......
tfw too inteligent too understand american football
>>74059211
you also might lose yards from penalties. this kills the fun.
why do they throw those little flags?
Why doesn't the coach just challenge all the time?
I literally don't know how this game works despite having watched 3 superb owls
Thanks? I guess
Still don't quite get most of it
>>74060858
>why do they throw those little flags?
penalties
>Why doesn't the coach just challenge all the time?
costs them 1/3 timeouts and only 2 challenges a game unless the play you challenge is overturned in your favor
>>74060453
hello fedoraman
>>74059414
Thanks a lot, I was already starting too feel to entellegent
>>74060858
I am going to pretend that you are not being an asshole.
Refs throw yellow flags when there is a penalty. Coaches throw red flags to challenge a play. If you challenge and are wrong, you loose a time out. You get 3 timeouts per half.
I bet 90% of the posters are basic white bitches trying to 'get into footballz and such' to ride the high schools QB dick
>>74057594
why do you drive on the parkway but park on the driveway?
What if there is a punt and the ball slips through the receiving team's hands?
so, uh
you gotta move the ball foward by 10 yards in four downs alright
but if the egg goes back by 5 yards in your first try, do you have to go 15 yards in your remaining tries?
>>74063988
Yes
>>74063754
They start wherever the kicking team touches it. A lot of times you will see the kicking team protect the ball having it roll as far down the field as posable
>>74057570
touchback is to the 20 idiot
>>74058646
Too much skill for Americans
>>74068309
Thanks
