When will the NFL get their shit together and finally schedule the Superbowl on a Saturday?!
Everybody has to work Monday morning and thus can’t hangout and party very long on Sundays and don’t try to give me any shit about the “rules” requiring pro football to be played on Sundays; high school and college football is long over and thus no longer applicable.

No, the tradition is that people party on Saturdays (and Fridays) and relax on Sundays, because they have to get up and go to fucking work on Mondays.

Because they know that everyone will watch it on Sunday regardless.
They don't give a shit of you get drunk and hungover or not. They just want you to watch it and soak up them ratings and show them to the sponsors during PowerPoint presentations.
Saturday has more competition because people like to do shit on Saturday. People rarely do things on Sunday as often because of work the next day - hence, you are trapped watching their game on your couch.

pretty much this. besides for most people it's right after church so they can unwind. also its an excuse for most people to get sundays off (church excuse but they really want to watch football)
