I did yea, twice. I spent a few months tribbiling in the start of 2016 or end of 2015, can't remember and then stopped until December due to my life going down the shitter. I've returned mostly in January and I'm going to stop posting again if I don't find a good save again.

Because in 2017 social media is inescapable, i've started taking my immersion in the game more seriously. I set up a snapchat for my team where I take photos of regens using filters and doing silly things and then post them to my story so the world can see. I think that this is a more realistic way to play FM as your social media feed lacks a lot of things like bleacher report reposts and BBC News giving you the best of social media roundup. Here's a photo of my club captain taking a selfie in the dog filter. I like to think that he's considered 'sexy' like Giroud and tons of people have crushes on him. He's just one of many characters in the squad reflected by their snaps. They all have personality. Sometimes I like to put open the comparison screen and then use the face-swap filter to make my regens post hilarious face swaps online that might even become memes in the FM world.

Because I'm doing a DoF-only save. The only people I hire are DoF, Assman, HoYD, and my Chief Scout. The DoF is responsible of the business aspect of the club, as is the norm in Germany (even though I currently manage in Bongistan).

Well, my rules are not too rigid. I get the final say on transfers (both outgoing and ingoing), I tell my DoF to release some players rather than renew their contracts, and sometimes when I need strengthening in a certain position I ask my DoF for suggestions and make him sign the best one.

It's about realism desu, I want to be a head coach, not the manager. But it is not a rare occurence that new head coaches take some of their players with them because they know them well, this is the same thing

Alright Mitch, first race of the second season. How much of this can you chalk up to our extremely beneficial starting positions? They've done away with the rules on it and made it random. I know absolutely nothing about f1 irl, we had pos 3 and 9 from the random seeding and I want to know how much final position depends on that.

starting position is very very very very important, which is why there is a huge emphasis on getting good qualifying times in F1

if you start out high up you won't get caught in traffic so the randomised starting positions will help a lot if you get lucky, getting stuck behind people can cost you 5 seconds or more a lap that the race leaders won't be losing

if you start doing well it'll be beneficial because normally gp3 is reverse order of the championship apparently (not sure if it's like this irl but it is in game)

however if you have a shit car and a shit driver you will just get overtaken by everyone anyway so keeping positions will be difficult if you're not careful

i'm new to F1 but when the best cars get high starting positions, the race very quickly turns into the top 3-4 speeding off into the distance and then a big fucking chunk of like 10 cars that are slowed down because of how many other cars are trying to take a corner at the same time as them

i find if i end up in the top 5 positions in starting i end up top 5 finishing most of the time but there will always be a few drivers every season that could start out 20th every race and end up top

Have a weird world league holiday save lads, built the db on top of someone else's, not sure about some things like prize money and league reps but i did a few things (making clubs outside of the structure extinct so they don't buy/produce players, giving everyone the same longitude/latitude to get rid of travel costs) that i don't think anyone thinks to do with these. 10 tiers, 860 teams, at least someone from every country, facilities/youth ratings all even so everyone has a chance. transfer deadline days are slooooow but at least the ai clubs mostly buy players instead of hoard gold, even in the lowest levels

A fun anecdote is the following:

Back in FM 13 or so, I was playing around with player development because I couldn't really work out how the game does things. I had one of my players jump from ~150 PA as an AMC, and when I maxed out his MC proficiency, he suddenly jumped to 190 PA. I could never explain how that happened. His CA did not change at all, so he suddenly had a lot of room to develop, purely because I retrained him. I still can't see the logic behind that and think it might've been a bug

Reminder that Versatility also affect the speed or even the possibility of a player learning multiple positions, nevermind the time he spends working on that while he coul dbe doing something else. I personally and generally don't retrain pure STs or DC for other positions since I don't need the added versatility (no matter what the shitty scout/coach report says). Up to you if a player may benefit from learning a position considering his Attributes, his age and whatnot.
