Atlanta are favourites, but if Pats are losing they'll just cheat. The NFC teams in general have poorer defences and this is making Falcons look better than they are.

Yes, the Packers result was impressive, but it can't be overstated just how bad Green Bay were, yet they still wound up with 21 points.. Pats meanwhile have absolutely walked the playoffs so far, but people are ignoring it because the Pats are always impressive.

I don't even like the Pats, but it's just formulaic at this point

He won the dally m one year which is for best player in the final. And was in the side that won last year but has been bumped around from team to team like crazy and has had behaviour issues - classic islander shit.

The interesting thing will be seeing the effect this has on kids. If you're a gun junior player and someone says to you "you can either play league, live in the western suburbs and make 200k per year for the rest of your career or you can move to France, get 100k now and make 1m in 5 years time while being a god and you can maybe come back to Australia at some point and play in the international team if you want" what would you say?

Trick question, a leaguie would say "can I have the 200k in cash? I want to play the pokies".

>>73996188
Promotion/relegation would be interesting.
I liked the idea of an American style conference system. Not sure how you would divide up the teams to make that work in a way that means that NZ(or whatever the strongest region happens to be) teams don't get shafted.

For example last year NZ should have had 2 teams on the top of the finals brackets not just the Hurricanes
>>
>>73996244
Actually you could almost argue 3 teams in the top of the bracket if you count back to most wins in the tie for 4th
>>
>>73995240

You heading to Pauanui for the long weekend lad?
>>
>>73996244
The problem that I see with introducing an American styled one is you would have to find a really smart way to divide the teams up accordingly.

As it is now, it's not a fair representation of how a team performs. It's no secret that the New Zealand conference is definitely the strongest, and with how it's structured, they will have to play each other more than the fodder teams (Sunwolves, Kings, etc), which, when it comes to time for playoffs, puts them at a direct disadvantage due to fatigue and what not.

I would honestly prefer if it went back to Super 15 and then at the end of the season, the lowest performing team of that conference would play against the most achieving domestic team. It will encourage the lower teams to really give it their all.

Yes, the aim of rugby is to score more points than your opponents, so ergo pick the players who have scored the most points. The only other alternative choices for center are BOD and Greenwood (Most tries)
>>

Great, so all 6 kickers that you've selected will all be scoring bulk points then.

Yes, it's a little known rule that if you nominate more than one kicker, you get to take any kick multiple times, and get points for each successful one.

Saffers don't tend to have outstanding players, but at their peak had a outstanding team systems. An awful lot of them were second or third best though. Debated throwing in de Villiers, but Nonu was better.

Most of the French that didn't make were left out because of inconsistency.

-In contact with kiwis
-Possess god-like rugby abilities
-Control Leinster with an iron but fair fist
-Own rugby clubs globally
-Direct descendants of the ancient irish potato farmers
-Will bankroll the first intergalactic rugby tornament
-Own 99% of sports brands globally
-First designer babies will in all likelihood be Kearney babies
-Both brothers said to have 215+ rugby IQ, such sporting prowess on Earth has only existed in movies and novels
-Ancient Indian scriptures tell of two angels who will descend upon Earth and will spread the sport of rugby to the masses making it the world's most popular sport
-They own most profitable sporting organisations around the world
-You likely have KearneyBros merchandise in your wardrobe right now
-They learned fluent French in under a week
-Top rugby nations entrust their rugby strategies for analysis and critique by the brothers.
-The brothers are about 7 decades old, from the space-time reference point of the base human currently accepted by our society
-In reality, they are timeless beings existing in all points of time and space from the big bang to the end of the universe. We don’t know their ultimate plans yet. We hope they’re benevolent beings.

I was gonna put Zebo first, but I had to take Seymour's try stats into consideration. Zebo has been excellent this season, dominated Glasgow in Thomond, was top drawer against New Zealand in Chicago, and almost single-handedly dragged an Irish backline including Carbery and Marmion in the back three, Earls at centre and Memerose out of position to a victory against Australia. I called it a draw to be nice.

No matter what way you slice it though, Ireland have the better forwards, Scotland have the better backs.

>Reminder that SANZAAAAR are desperately trying to figure out how to get Americans into the sport so they can squeeze shekels from an already sport-saturated market
Yep including more big nations is good for the sport. SANZAR is trying to further the sport, no qualms here
>Reminder that the Tri Nations + Argentina is struggling to generate interest and has to move games to Twickenham
Pretty sure that was because Argentina was hosting the under 20 football world cup or something. I remember talking to Argie bro and the reason made sense
>Reminder that more New Zealanders are moving to Europe in their prime than ever before
They want to make a living playing rugby. NZ (SH in general) is very competitive and they are moving to a less competitive region so they have a chance of making a living playing rugby. More older players than ever are going over that way too.
>Reminder that NZRU are so desperate for money that they're charging other unions extortionate prices to play against them, which they will soon refuse to pay
Supply and demand. We are one team and everyone wants to play us. Crank up the price to play us and make money off of them. If you think teams that host NZ rugby don't make money off having us you are retarded, we just want a slice of our own pie
>Remider that rugby has all but fallen apart in South Africa
True
>Reminder Australia are not far behind
Potentially
>Reminder that 10-15 years from now NZRU will be bankrupt all New Zealand starters will be European-based
Doubtful but that is a long way in the future. Rugby could be banned from concussions and other injuries by then.
>>

On the viewership point again, there is just too many games. To watch so you just watch the game of the week and your team.
Pretty much everyone I know only watched whatever the ~7pm game is both days and then their teams game if that isn't one of those two games.
Splitting it into smaller conferences could help by increasing how many "good" games there are.

Again this stems from the new restructuring that almost everyone hates

I made the picture in relation to the French and English (who chimped out and forced big changes to the format of the European club competitions because they weren't winning) being repeatedly BTFO by Pro12 teams. >bullshit Australasia example that he can't even use the correct names for
Again you seem to be confusing location with nationality. Australasia is the location that those countries are, and again I have never seen anyone argue the opposite.

Ireland is in the British Isles. This is a fact and is about location not nationality. No one said Irish are British, that is not correct.

It's like saying you are from *insert city here* and you blow up about it getting pissed off only to say you are from *suburb in city here*. You are still from *city*. Would the vice presidents have to fight as well?

Most of these are either not talking about the Six Nations, not talking about Ireland, blatantly sarcastic or just out of context. >>73990577 is a reference to the Brazilian. >>73991328 is saying that although Ireland are favourites against Scotland (which bookies say they are) he wouldn't be surprised if they lost. >>73998247 is a self-depreciating joke, calling Irish people wankers. >>73999559 is a post about the long term financial viability of rugby in New Zealand. I could go on.

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.

Good luck, Gentlemen.

>le "I honestly have no idea what to expect from them" meme
Expect them to lose. Badly. They'll give away a few early tries, the result will never be in doubt. England will get a bonus point and France will get a few well worked consolation tries in the last 20 minutes when England already have it won. Then expect them to come to Ireland, fight tooth and nail for the full 80 and injure 5 of our players.
>>
>>74003497
That was lovely, thank you and good luck.

Way to completely miss the point of my post. I'm talking about demonyms, not geographic terms. Canada being on the American continent does not make Canadians Americans.

>Australasia is the location that those countries are
Wrong. Australia is the continent all of those countries are on. Zealandia is the continent New Zealand and some French dependancy are on. Together, those two are called Australasia or Oceania. How the fuck do you not know this? Indonesians however are not, despite being on the continent of Australia, are not Australians.

I'll repeat again, for emphasis, I'm not objecting to the term British Isles. I'm objecting to the idea that Ireland being in the British Isles makes Irish people British.

If you have an iPhone get the union live app. Don't know if they have it on android but maybe.

ESPN scrum for news. /rug/ for memes. Cricfree or realstream for streams. There's also a /r/rugbystreams that will have acestreams of big games.

Super rugby starts at the end of feb.

Canadians are Americans, they are just not citizens of the United States of Americans which is a political union.

Australasia is a combination of the continents Oceania and Asia that falls on the same teuotonic plate, many of thousands of southern Indonesians islands fall within it.

Ireland is part of the Island formation named by the Romans. If you're going to debate the Latin naming then we have no language

This wasn't a premeditated assault like Sam "belongs in chain" Cane's hit on Henshaw was. Toner a good boy, just tryna turn his career around.

>>74003648
Zealandia is a wildlife sanctuary not a content mate
There are 7 contents and New Zealand or any name given to New Zealand is not one of them. A small collection of islands is not a content
Australia/Australasia/Oceania are a content, Oceania being more of a regional one rather than a strictly speaking content.

Ireland is Lesser Britain and therefore British
>>
>>74003648
Canadians are North Americans
>>
>>74003843
>New Zealand is not part of the continent of Australia, but of the separate, submerged continent of Zealandia. New Zealand and Australia are both part of the wider regions known as Australasia and Oceania.

Trudeau has trained as a boxer before, but he has since come to the conclusion that if you fight your enemies they win. Trump has WWE experience, so I'm giving him the edge. Trump to win and shave Trudeau's head along with Stone Cold Steve Austin afterward.

This would be his entrance song
