the southern cities have a lot of untapped potential. I imagine that MLS will eventually grow to around 34-36 teams within the next 20 years. maybe even more.

Gooch is a work horse and a great upcoming CAM. He's sadly been injured so he's barely coming back to the Sunderland lineup but Moyes trusts him enough to have given him a few subs - keep in mind Sunderland are in a relegation battle.

Haji Wright is also another one of the better USA prospects coming along. He's slowly breaking into the Schalke team at a young age. If he pans out like Pulisic, we will have a great strikeforce partnership between Wood and Wright

probably because MLS does things differently and is still pretty young. There's No pro/rel, the league is heavily centralized, there's a college draft, wacky team names like the Sounders and Whitecaps, etc. a lot of Euros and Euroboos think that the sport should only be governed one way. that there is a set in stone formula to running teams, creating a league, and building success.

MLS has basically said "fuck that, we are doing this our way." and built the league up American style. and for the most part, its worked. There are still plenty of problems though. mainly developing/retaining good American plays.

Also, the MLS fanbase can be cringy as fuck sometimes, which is an easy target for ire.

I havent been impressed with anyone 2bh. The group looked composed and organized against Serbia but awful in attack. Altidore is just past it and Morris is god awful - i have no idea why this guy is even rated by anyone when he's already been on the team for like 2 years and only has a goal and assist in some friendlies.

The problems in the midfield stem from lack of everything - from willingness to win back posession to facilitating the ball to the front line etc - and that's partly because of the players involved. Only Nagbe has shown to be starter material so far. Everyone else from Bradley to even Kljestan - who I previously rated - have shown too many glaring weaknesses.

In my opinion, why bother trying to make a system work with the same players who never shown the propensity to play well in the first place? Bradley has been the focal point of the midfield for way too long despite being mediocre ever since the world cup in Brazil. I would rather put in younger players like Gooch and Hyndman who have an upside along with two pacey quality wingers in Nagbe and Pulisic

But I know thats not going to happen soon because Arena is a stubborn retard who sticks too long with a certain group of players as seen in 2006 and in some seasons with LA.
