How do we fix this absolute dumpster fire?
>>
dissolve it
>>
Dissolve it as such:

Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State to the SEC
Kansas, Iowa State, Kansas State to the B1G
Baylor, Texas Tech, TCU to the Pac 12
West Virginia to the ACC
>>
>>73970767

expand
>>
What is wrong with it?

Big 10: 3-7
Pac 12: 3-3
SEC: 7-7

Big 12: 4-2

Had the best record of the power 4.
>>
>>73971807
>only half of the division had a 6-6 record or better
>b-but their k/d was the highest!
Come on son
>>
>>73971829
>all of our teams lost
>Were not overrated

Getting a bunch of losers bowl games isn't an accomplishment.
>>
>>73971829
Also the exact same thing can be said about the pac 12.
>>
>>73971903
Right, losing in the playoffs is much worse than not making the playoffs. Got it
>>
>>73970947
Pac-12 liberal atheist administrations will never allow Christian schools in just as they won't let BYU in. It will never happen.
>>
>>73970947
SEC is not willing to put up with Texas' shit, nor is any other P5 conference. If the Big X?? dissolves they're independent. ISU and KSU have nothing to offer the B10. TCU and Baylor are poor institutional fits in the ACC, but could potentially weasle into the SEC ahead of the OK teams.

The conference is like a big oil well that UT and to a lesser extent OU just want to suck money out of until it runs dry and most of the oil (ie other schools) are stuck because other conferences aren't quite ready to scoop them up or have no interest at all. If they don't get their shit together and gobble up some CUSA or AAC sucker soon the next wave of good conference expansions might just kill them.

>>73971807
>4 wins is better than 7 wins
And people make fun of SEC academics.
>>
>>73970779
This
>>73970947
Are you high? NOBODY wants to put up with Texas. You'll see OK State go to the SEC, WVU go to either the ACC or SEC, Oklahoma and Kansas go to the B1G, Texas goes indie, and the others go to G5 hell where they belong.
>>
>>73977149
>Oklahoma and Kansas go to the B1G
Kansas makes sense, but why the fuck would OU go to the B1G and not the SEC?
>>
>>73970767
What's wrong with it? It's a containment conference. I don't want to see any of the garbage fucking teams or cities these teams play in.
>>
>>73977175
OU replaying Nebraska every year, plus Michigan, Ohio State, Iowa, Sparty, and Pedo State would bring more money than OU playing Bama, A&M, and Methzoo
>>
>>73973972
The SEC would only want Oklahoma/OkState/Kansas, they wouldn't choose anyone else except MAYBE West Virginia, but that's a very big stretch. ISU doesn't fit the map and along with KSU aren't a big enough name. Texas A&M doesn't want another Texas school, whether that be TTU, Baylor, or TCU (UT can't be in consideration, they'll be independent) and SEC teams don't want another Texas school to compete with.

Considering Kansas makes a lot of sense as a B1G school I think OU/OSU are the best bets for joining the SEC. WVU makes more sense in the ACC if you disregard market and academics.
>>
>>73977232
OU playing LSU, A&M, Alabama, and UGA/UF/AU occasionally makes a ton of money. They would rarely play Penn State/Ohio State/Michigan/MSU if they joined the B1G without a permanent cross over game. OU would join the Big 10 West, so their only significant games are against Wisconsin, Nebraska, and maybe Minnesota (assuming Fleck brings them back). Iowa doesn't even deserve mentioning, they're a middling team at best. That's a much worse lineup than the SEC offers, and culturally Oklahoma works with the SEC much more than the B1G
>>
The SEC would love to bring in Oklahoma and Texas.

There is just a bunch of schools left after that, that dont really fit anywhere (KU would be a good fit in the B1G, WVU should have gone to the ACC to begin with)

ISU, KSU, TCU, Baylor dont fit anywhere else
>>
>>73977261
That would make sense, as it would give the conference to redo its divisions and balance things out more.

>>73977321
But the only problem with OU going to the SEC is that almost everyone in the SEC hates Stoops because of his mouth.
>>
>>73977321
Add in Tennessee to that occasionally list. Consider, the B1G East has 3-4 shit-tier teams in Maryland, Rutgers, Purdue, and MSU (if they're having a bad year, they're by no means a constantly good team until the past decade-ish). The SEC East has a lot of down years but only 2 teams with shit fan support in Vandy and Kentucky, and 1 more team that will probably be bad most years in South Carolina.

Then, consider if Okie State joins with Oklahoma, Oklahoma's SEC West schedule consists of good every year games against LSU, A&M, and Okie State, and games against should-be good to average teams Ole Miss and Arkansas. Only Mississippi State is expected to be bad but they've put together very good teams in recent years.

In terms of competition the SEC is the best conference for Oklahoma.
>>
>>73977386
O and Mizzou would also be a shit-tier game in the West (assuming Alabama and Auburn move to the East, Mizzou moves to the West). Only two shit games in the SEC West is better than Northwestern, Illinois, Purdue, and usually Minnesota in the B1G West.

Also, I forgot that Purdue is in the B1G West. My bad. You could probably add Kansas to the West too if Oklahoma joined, there's no way Okie State is joining the B1G.
>>
>>73977321

nebraska alone means more to them than anything the SEC has to give.
>>
>>73977583
Sorry to say, Nebraska-OU won't be able to retain it's status as an incredibly important game years from now. The writing has been on the wall for Nebraska for a while, assuming they don't get some once-in-a-lifetime coach they'll never be in the top echelon of teams again. But LSU, Alabama, UGA, and UF will always be big draws. Tennessee and A&M will be very good games. And the states those teams represent, they're growing and gaining more students every year. Think of the future, and you know the SEC in terms of competition is a better choice for Oklahoma.
>>
>>73977441
Auburn and Alabama would shit on eastern opponents.
>>
>>73980682
The weaker east division teams are geographically west of Alabama. The SEC is probably expanding to 16 at some point and stopping forever; at that point they redo the divisions.
>>
There is no fixing it because there are no more schools left that would raise the conference's level of play.

Texas has, once again, ruined a conference.
>>
As a WVU fan I would LOVE to see them in the ACC. Getting to shit on pitt and virginia texh each year and easily being a top 3 team each year since the ACC is FSU and Clemson nowadays anyways
>>
>>73972238
>TCU
>Baylor
>christian

nice one
>>
>>73982025
>WVU to the AAC

Fixed that for you.
