It's VERY irrelevant I put it lower than all the master 1000s. It has no historical significance and has only been around in the open era since 1988. It's also very annoying as it normally condenses the grass session even more than it is really messing up players breaks between tournaments. It was hyped up alot back in 2008/2012 because federer didn't have a gold so people think it is vaguely important. It's a great opportunity to represent your country but that's it.
