Mozgov has had a really rough go this year. He supposedly had a knee scope in the off season but people are starting to suspect it was something more serious. He has gone on record saying it didn't go as well as he had hoped. Either way, he looks like he has not only been hampered by the knee issues, but he has a serious confidence problem. 35% of passes that go his direction go off his hands and out of bounds or to the other team, he is going soft to the rim instead of dunking for seemingly no reason and even missing some easy layups. He just has absolutely stone hands this year and is pretty much a negative on offense since you can hardly even move the ball through him without a turnover. He is still playing solid defense at the rim, which is his main role on the team, but he is playing much worse defense away from it, something he already struggled with. He also can't run the floor as well this year,something he was good at given his size, meaning that he is also a liability against teams that like to push the ball. He really offers very little over TT at this point aside from slightly better rim protection, but he will still get minutes because they are thin at C and hoping that he can work his way back into the player he was last year. He won't get traded because they would need to trade him for another C, and no team is going to offer the Cavs a C better than him. TT has actually been great starting so far, and Cavs starting lineup with TT and Kyrie is the best in the league imo. People don't want to admit it, but the Cavs are every bit as good as SAS/GS when they have Kyrie. He solves pretty much all of our offensive problems and looks improved on defense in the game he has been back. JR has honestly put in work on defense this year as well, and the bench is deep with guys who compliment the starters and one another well. Cavs are probably about to get really hot and probably stay that way through the rest of the season.
