Number 47 because I was a white safety and I styled my game after the GOAT, John Lynch.
44, safety
4 or 13
Lets talk about the ideal numbers you would pick for each sport. IMO:
NBA: 23, 6 is for underage faggots
NFL: Depends on your position obviously, but I think 80 or 88 are the best numbers.
MLB: 42
NHL: 99
Soccer: 10
agree or disagree?
5, since my brother always chose it, for Jason kidd

Yeah me too.
In fact I'm pretty sure most, if not all of /sp/ were star athletes whose careers were tragically cut short by injuries/circumstances beyond their control.
Wore 28 in football because I played tailback and Curtis Martin is the man, felt weird on defense though because I was the mike
Lacrosse I wore 30. Looked nice enough for me. I played defense and I never really noticed a pattern to anyone else's numbers
Basketball I had a different number every season
25 or 8 because its aesthetically pleasing
7 in GAA where numbers are assigned for specific position and coaches are pretty strict about keeping to it. I remember getting in a fight with a forward who was new to the sport and watched too much soccer and didn't want the 12.
3 in everything else, I needed to ware a prime number.
Respect CBs that wear 6 and CMs that wear 4 in soccer though.
I used to wear 68 when they forced me to play guard my fisrt year of high school, then I moved to dt and wore 72 rest of the time, imo wish linemen got better numebers to wear
>>64731942
Senpai
I was assigned 71 after making the varsity squad as a sophomore and only shitty numbers that nobody wanted were left. I learned to love it and continued to wear it for the rest of my career

Our high school football coach was one of these old marines who basically said "FUCK individuality" and chose our numbers for us. And then only spoke to us using our numbers (even outside of practice/gametime). Except for the really good kids, they got to pick their own shit if they earned the right.
I got stuck with 55.

I started every year. Freshman team and then Varsity team from there. Lived in a podunk town. Played both sides, two season team captain, mostly because everyone else was either tiny or a dumbass. I was recruited by one school. Midwestern State. I didn't think going to such a shit school was worth it just so I could play football. Ended up going to Texas Tech and just embarrassed everyone in Intramural Flag Football. I'm happy now. Just wish I played somewhere decent.
>>64734086
I was a shit player, got injured, lost my spot and had to move to a different one and split time when I came back.

My sophomore year, all the senior skill position players changed their old numbers to a new order so the QB Duff' wore 1, the recievers wore 1-4, two seniors runningbacks wore 5 and 9, etc
A picture in the paper once showed them lined up before the ball was snapped so it was
