Would the best way to acquire such a way just be through working out? I'm pretty content with how my body looks as is but if it would help no harm in that. I've heard growing a beard also helps but I'm challenged in that regard.

You need to reduce body fat, this is done through changing your diet mostly but working out can help prevent muscle loss, or even build muscle, I'd just recommend you read the sticky on >>>/fit/ for info on that. Go down to 10-12% body fat, any lower might have negative effects in the long term.

Also, drink more water, eat less salt, this will cause you to retain less water in your body, which will make you look leaner.

Finally, training your neck and traps directly can make you look more masculine, you can do neck curls and extensions and shrugs for that, but make sure you look up proper form on YouTube or exrx. Com so you don't injure yourself.
