Just keep letting it grow a bit, then trimming it into the shape you want. Take care of it with oil/balm/whatever you like. Go see a good barber for more advice in person

You're getting there OP, I'd recommend trimming your sideburns a little more or combing them down or gelling it so there's some weight keeping it from sticking out.

You can still go full beard mode, but you'really gonna have to keep trimming it.
Facial hair rarely grows at the same rate on your face, and sideburns tend to grow faster than anything else.
If you don't want to keep it trimmed, you don't have to, but it'll end up being a pretty ugly beard.

Trim it, let it grow, trim it, let it grow, and so on. Also, a decent beard oil or conditioner never hurts.
Also, when drying your face after a shower, or whatever, pat your beard with the towel, as opposed to rubbing. It'll help prevent breakage and split ends.

OP's beard doesn't grow in a weird shape. that's just what you get from letting it grow out from a clean shave.
even if you let your normal hair grow out you get a cut from time to time to get some kind of shape into it.
