My problem is I am not a huge fan of taking pictures of myself when I am out. I go out with people often but I never take pictures because it feels so contrived and awkward, prefer to just have fun rather than trying to get a new profile pic. It's basically pay to win now. I have been experimenting with boosts a bit, and I can get 15-25 matches in an hour when I use boost. In theory, these same women would've swiped right on me, but they never get to my profile. Ever notice how Tinder will show you the hottest girls when you first open the app? It does the same for girls, showing the most Chads amongst Chads up front. If you use a boost, you're thrown into that same stack with the other most-swiped-right profiles, and it gives women the idea that you're equally as desirable as the Chads they show first. I don't think women swipe for as long of periods as men do, so most women won't even get to your profile because there are just too many men in her area / search range for your profile to appear. Boost fixes that. It sucks that it's pay-to-win, but that's the way of the world now.

I've had many hookups from tinder and bumble, including a 2 year girlfriend. Also have made friends that way too - you never know what could come of it. I think I have to agree with you. A general rule of thumb is like 6-10 messages but if it's flowing fine just keep going. When it does slow down then you want to switch platforms because they aren't as responsive to Tinder compared to texting or snapchat.
