My Mother works in the mental health field and when I was a child I was her guinea pig, The scar in my left eye is from a fight I lost with my own Brother, He got the drop on me with a ball-point pen sneak attack, My Mother didn't take me to the hospital right away so I got rushed into emergency surgery hours after I got it stabbed into mush, 12 stitches with experimental thread into the center of ya eyeball.

I'm sorta ashamed of this scar, I didn't want this and everyone always tells me how 'cool' it looks..

I think it scares ppl away personally, history i read wasn't so kind to folks with eyes like mine in the past..
I don't like eye contact with ppl much, I'm posting it now trying to get over it..

I feel like a freak. I had to sport a eye patch as a kid, I hated it..

I feel you on the eyepatch, bro. I have multiple eye disorders and when I was a kid, if anything got too close to my face one eye would zone in on it while the other would completely lose focus and shift off to the side (kinda lazy eye ish). So when I was a child, sometimes I'd have to wear an eyepatch to train my eyes to focus correctly. I didn't always wear a black one, sometimes it was one of those plastic flesh-coloured ones, and sometimes it was a sequin patch that my mom would affix with medical tape so I could wear it more like an accessory than a patch.

As for scars: I have some self harm scars left over from my teen years (child abuse and molestation). Non self-harm include two dots near the inside of my elbow, and a 1.2in mark on the outside of my foot plus some more smaller marks on my ankle. All from burns. I've got a small "dent" scar next to my nose from a cyst that was removed when I was 9.

I don't want to seem insensitive and it looks cool because I do find scars really interesting in that way that is a physical reminder of something you endured and grew from. Doesn't necessarily have to be a negative thing but rather an indication of personal growth

Thank you! I got this scar last year actually, I think it's pretty cool. All of my girls think it's a shame though. That makes me a bit sad that they don't like it. But they're glad I like it! So that's nice

It's just sad...

One time i was cutting when particularly upset and applied too much pressure and that combined with the x acto being too sharp, I sliced my arm open. It bled a lot but i think i was so in shock it didn't even hurt, i cleaned it all by myself and only told my mom when i guessed i had to go to the hospital.

No stitches, just this medical tape to close the gap. I don't even really remember the recovery, just thankful i wasn't commited to a mental institution.

when i was 14 I got drunk and tied the end of my pit bulls leash to my scooter in the middle of the night and decided to "joyride" down the street.
I got hit by a speeding car and fucked their shit up. The car was completely destroyed. It looked like they hit a moose. My knee went through the windshield and my body made a massive dent on the hood. Once the car stopped I flew off the hood and managed to hit my head and skid across the road making me look like fucking two face for WEEKS my cheek was completely red with blood and puss coming out of it.
I was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance and the nurse who stitched me up told me i was extremely lucky, had the wound been only an inch lower i could've lost my eye (which honestly would have been really cool)

When I was 12 I tripped over the curb and hit my head into the corner of a brick wall, apparently -really- lucky not to have brain damage. can remember it really vividly and sometimes have panic attacks thinking about it too much, only my family know about panic attacks, never told any of my girlfriends or friends.
Had some self confidence issues for a while as well around start of a levels because to me it's really ugly and noticeable, even though most people don't think it is
