How the fuck do I approach following people on instagram? Most people I hang with don't use it because they're old and boring (most from work, 30+, I am 22).

Is it weird following friends I haven't seen in 3+ years? It feels weird, like they'd think I linger on past relations because my current life sucks asshole (mostly because that's true)?
