Define: robot - a machine capable of carrying out a complex series of actions automatically, especially one programmable by a computer.

Pretty sure that's the core definition, it needs to be automated or fed commands. A Mech isn't a robot, in the same way a tank or fighter jet might have a lot of robotic components but is still crewed or piloted.

"I just want to shoot stompy robots" was a phrase I heard daily playing Mechwarrior Online. Yeah, there were women who were part of the units I was with, not a huge number though, the game is so bad it drives all but the crazy away.

I'd also like to know this, don't give a damn about the exact definition of what a robot is or anything like that.

When taking about mechas on 4chins it seems to be only guys who like them, anytime I bring it up with a girl or even an actual weeb girl their always disinterested.
Sometimes they act like I insulted them just taking about "muh gundam", had some girl laugh at me when I asked her where all the Gundam shit was at since she was visiting Japan.

That being said I have ran into one or two fems who are into the mecha theme, but it's mostly just Gundam wing and Eva

I always say the quickest way to dry a girl's panties up is talking about giant suits of armor piloted by autistic teenagers. Is it really that bad or boring? Why do I have to hide my love for the mecha and pretend that I like Naruto to keep a convo going?
