This board used to be a different place, what else can be said. Between #32232325 rate thread, obvious catfishes and billionth dick thread, there are barely any threads worth shit. Everyone who was worth shit left, it's only aspies who have a hard time letting go of old memories staying right now. I've already reduced the time I spend on this board, but at this point it is a habit to check out whatever is happening on here. Can't say that I really care, but it does feel odd knowing these threads will never be in their prime again. Lots of shit has happened from the first time they were posted. Right now it feels like a lifetime ago. Everyone changed, I guess. To think of it, it was something like a year ago when these were at their prime. God damn.

These threads were like a group of teenage friends who grew up to become whatever each of them had intended to be, for the better or worse, and eventually parting their ways because they became too different from each other in what they want and where they see themselves at.

Even my memories are becoming blurred by every passing day and I no longer even understand why I am here. Depression helps to stay, I guess. I don't even want to talk with anyone, it's just I foolishly hope for these threads coming back to life while it is obvious they won't. I think these are dead for good.

Not long ago I started to chat with a person I met here on 4chan. It was just a friendship. We used to chat all day every day. I'm not good at starting conversation, so I appreciate her a lot for this reason even if she made me feel rejected sometimes. We deleted each other out of a minor discussion and even if I know was the right thing to do (she didn't care about me as much as I did) I still regret that and I hope to find another person who open up with me as she did.

I believe one of the major problems here is a large portion of the people that come here see this as a "hook up board".

I think many women see this as an extension and combination of social media and dating sites, where they can seek attention and validation from anonymous and plentiful sources.

Men on the other hand see this board in a similar way, trying to get with the aforementioned women or any other kind that they can.

And then there are the truly crazy ones here like myself who seek out decent conversations and are insane enough to hope for something like a decent relationship.

But one thing that I think connects everyone together here is a certain level and combination of being bored and lonely.

Everyone on here is looking for someone to fulfill something, that thing and someone just changes from poster the poster.

I think I can relate, I had what I thought was a good friendship with a girl that happen to be very young and troubled.

Over the course of months and after several nights of helping her with anxiety attacks I realized that I put in for more effort and care Into the friendship then she does especially since she will get upset and act childish from the slightest of things.

It can be quite lonely not having someone to talk to on a regular basis, even if we didn't converse everyday the conversation will be missed, but it wasn't a very mutually beneficial friendship.
