All memeing aside, I do like JD Salinger. He wrote great dialogue, and his style is pretty fun to read. Have you read any Philip Roth?

And nice taste in Russians. Gogol would surely be posting on /r9k/ if he were alive today. Have you read Tolstoy's The Power of Darkness? I read it last think and have to say that it's very underrated. It's the only play of his that I've read, but I'm planning to read the others soon. I'm also planning to read some of Turgenev's plays as well, I've heard good things about A Month in the Country.

It's painful. Even now I skim through this thread imagining what it would be like to reach out to any of these other anons and how much I could learn from them and all the cool stories we could share. But I realise that people get bored, interests don't overlap, anxiety gets in the way, and ultimately the idea you have in your head of a perfect online friendship is probably impossible.

I usually just make a post like this whenever I feel like socialising. It satisfies the urge even if nobody replies. Hope you have a good morning.

A lot of writers I like were Jews, desu. The Moon is good so far, I'm reading it in Italian which makes it a bit difficult for me but it's also a good way to practice.
