My question still stands though, how long is too long and how thick is too thick?

I'm 7.5" long and approx. 3" girth (haven't measured girth in a long time). never had any complaints, but could the average person handle that?

For me over 8,5inch long is too long, gut wrenching
and over 6 inch wide it gets to much to handle, but then again I prefer top mode
