Today something incredibly embarrassing happened to me and I just need to vent.

There is this pretty girl and the two of us work for the same company and see each other every day. Our seeing each other isn't directly work related but we take the same train to and from work at the same time. We haven't exchanged any words, just some brief looks and polite smiles.

So during my commute I always have my earbuds in and listen to music and it was no different today when I was on my way home. I sat there on the train next to the window, gazing out lost in thought and barely noticing my surroundings when I cleared my throat rather thoroughly. It was at that moment when she apparently decided to approach me and introduce herself to me by touching my shoulder and starting to talk. To me that was so unexpected that it startled me a bit and this is where things went really south. I choked on my phlegm and while reflexively spinning my head to where I was touched and a voice talked to me I coughed a single, sharp cough. Ejecting my yellowish throat slime right into her face. For a moment we just looked at each other in shocked silence but that silence was quickly broken by her emitting a combination of 'ew' and a short, very high pitched scream that was more like a yelp. She wiped the goo off her face with her sleeve while getting up and bolting for the door. She got off at the next stop, which isn't her regular stop. I didn't manage to move or even say sorry. I just sat there still in shock. I didn't know what to do. After a minute or so I just leaned back against the window with my face turned so people wouldn't see me.

I don't know what to do tomorrow when I see her again. And imagine what it looked like from an outside perspective! A pretty girl approached a guy and the guy spat slime into her face and then just did nothing. I can't take that train any more! There are so many people who take that train every day. I know it because I see them every day! I am SO ashamed.
